Not throwing shade but people PLEASE DO NOT HAVE THE CUTTING BLADE FLUSH WITH THE STATIONARY BLADE!!!
Reasons:
1. It's DANGEROUS!! You will scar someone because the cutting blade has no guide if it's flush with the stationary blade meaning the cutting blade will touch the skin and you don't want that... Set the cutting blade a hair below the stationary blade which will give you a safe way to do your edge up and it still give you a crispy line.
2. In the barber game, ZERO GAP doesn't mean a TRUE zero gap. What it means is your blades are as close as can be without overlapping or being flush. The Stationary blade also called the non-moving or still blade, is the protection barrier between the cutting blade and the skin so if you set them even or flush, you now have no protection from the cutting blade and the skin and trust me you will cut someone or yourself...
Like I said, I'm not throwing shade... I just want people to understand the term "ZERO GAP" when it comes to cutting hair, and the danger it can cause if you don't understand it... Peace!!!

Ive been using blade setters and mirrors and still get cut what do mean by dont the blade flush, expl ?
@@mikejones1258 turn clippers toward you as if you was gon hit up ur moustache, the bottom blade has to be slightly lower than the top blade, if the bottom blade is dead even(flush) with the top blade that's no bueno will irritate or even cut skin, you need to have that bottom blade jus be a hair under(1mm) the top blade to be safe.. good luck homie!

You can just loosen the screws on the cutting blade you don't have to take them out. I like use a magnifying glass to check how close I am.
JustinTime Yes you can, I've done it myself with these same trimmers. Its not necessary to take the screws out. Just loosen them so the blade can move. Then push upwards on the blade to get it closer to the top blade to zero gap. After that tighten screws.

I'm not a barber but I am a stylist I used tool that you pro barbers used. I also just bought this I did this way but the small blade I set it with abit gap not lined up I used it today and it scratched my client 😢 so I moved it back a little
