ABOUT BEWITCHED: United by love, Darrin and Samantha Stephens (Dick York / Dick Sargent and Elizabeth Montgomery) may look like a classic American couple, but they have a secret that distinguishes them from their suburban neighbors - ad executive Darrin (Dick York / Dick Sargent) is a mortal, but Samantha (Elizabeth Montgomery) is a beautiful witch.

Probably the most important message that came out of BEWITCHED, is Sam's explanation of what being a "sister" really means.
The most touching scene is when Tabitha hugs her mother with feeling, because Erin loved Elizabeth.
I love her little clap when she does magic, its so cute.
OH my gosh.. Tabitha was the most adorable little girl.. Cuteness overload..♥️🌸💐
Guys I have to think that Tabitha is an incredibly powerful witch for her age! Her mother didn't care to teach her hardly anything about using witchcraft and I will have to think that Endora and Maurice snuck around and taught her things here and there, but Tabitha literally learned how to do all those things by intuition and instinct alone!
Kevin you do realize this was a show....right?😂
@@missysample4486 Oh, I wouldn't be so sure about that. Life can surprise you.
Kevin I always thought it was really unfair that Tabitha wasn't given the same upbringing Samantha had.
@@christycampos4934 You got that right!
@@rcmorales9014 Yes same! I totally agree! I mean a young witch of her talents....it's almost a crime for that potential to be wasted!
I was in my teenage years when this came out, I’m Now In My 60, Loving It 🥰 All Over Again
Erin Murphy is the excellent person to play Tabitha.
Respect. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻🙏🏻
I love it when Tabitha immitates the dolls nodding. She is so cute.
Tabitha was simply adorable and Erin grew up to be a terrific lady.
I totally agree.
Same thing happened with her kid bro Adam, who grew up and become a magnificent gentleman.
I am glad she is still alive.
She is not only beautiful but also kind, but wrinkles have appeared on her face!
She was a great little actress! And even before she could clearly talk!
The 'Sisters at Heart' episode made me cry.
Me too 🥲
Yeah, how conmoving!
@@ameliadiaz8040 I'm unclear what you are talking about.
Misty eyes, loved all the scenes where she got to interact with Dick York, they were perfect as father and daughter..
The episodes with Tabitha were always fun, especially as she got older and her powers became stronger. I really enjoyed the Jack and the Beanstalk story when Tabitha shrank the terrible giant down to pee-wee size. He finally got a taste of his own medicine. Then when Samantha caught up with Tabitha and told her to turn the giant back to being big, Tabitha exclaimed very loudly and confidently "NO!!" That made the giant's wife jump and exclaim "Spunky little girl, isn't she?" Then Samantha says in a no nonsense tone "Young lady, you may be a little witch, but I am a big witch...", at which point Tabitha knew she was outmatched, and she restored everything to the way it was. The whole scene always makes me laugh, especially when Tabitha was being "spunky".
I like how Tabitha claps right after she casts a successful spell.
So funny!
She is a beautiful baby and powerful witch
Samantha's daughter Tabitha also knows the magic trick. Her tricks are childish and wonderful. I just love her. She is great.
I love Tabitha 🥰
What a wonderful character and the perfect child actress that portrayed her. And just think, the suits in New York were skeptical. It took Elizabeth Montgomery fought for Sam's baby. 🙂 Also, Liz didn't want to go through shoot arounds and then shoot the cuurent scenes and those she missed. She did that in season one and she said it was tough.
Love this video.
I would love to hear more about what you are talking about. Where can I read more about it?
Tabitha was a riot. When she put that little brat Michael in a cage, that was hilarious. They couldn't have found a better child actress to play Tabitha.
Very well said!!
Tabitha is so cool!!!!
Tabitha is such a cute child! Whenever she makes magic, it makes her more adorable.💕💝💫
Reminds me of times when entertainment used to be entertaining!
What? No "Tabitha's Weekend?"😊 She was such a cute raisin cookie! 😉
All of my favorite moments...
I love the episode where Tabitha puts the bratty boy in a cage, then turns him into a dog😂😂😂
That’s my favorite too!! :)
And the frog episode. Witchcraft certainly had its advantages. We all wished we could do that to bullies!!!
Love Tabitha, poor lil Adam, he was enjoying playing with the doll
I LOVE WATCHING BEWITCHED. DARRIN ALMOST FLIPPED OUT WHEN HE FOUND OUT THAT TABITHA WAS A WITCH.
Two of my extra favorite episodes did not include Tabitha, but they we so much fun. The episode where Endora gets a lemon meringue pie in the face is hysterical, not because of the pie itself, but because Endora believes she is superior in every way to mortals. Yet she was a victim of one of the oldest mortal gags in the world. It served her right, though, because she got Serena to pretend to be Samantha. Along the same vein, Endora enlisted the help of one of Samantha's old beaus, who spiked Samantha's drink with his "love potion". But Endora mistakenly drank some of it and fell in love with a business client of Darrin's. Endora whisked him away to what seemed to me to be Las Vegas in order to get a quickie marriage. The town/city was never specified, but it was so much fun watching Samantha trying to delay the wedding. It became Endora's magic versus Samantha's magic, and Samantha was "outwitched", although she was quite resourceful. It was so much fun watching Endora get a taste of her own medicine. When she came out of the spell, Endora really needed a fainting couch, fanning herself with a magazine and lucky to have a daughter who was so persistent.
The best casting after Malcolm un the midle
I love Tabitha. She is so cute
Ah yes, Tabitha at her best!
We always like the sound which tabatha makes after twitching her nose
I can't believe Samantha would tell her child she was ashamed of her. That little bully should have been sent to the moon.
Sure, with USAF Majors Tony Nelson and Roge Healey and Jeannie the genie of course!!!
The baby girl is so cute and so adorable
Tabitha was a lot of fun on that show
Erin was a fantastic child actress.
Too me, the best Tabitha scene is the banter between her and the giant. It was a long scene and Erin Murphy did a great job. I'm sure it took more than one take. That's a lot of diaglogue for a five or six year old to learn. Fun and funny. 😀
Tabatha is a wonderful and marvelous witch and smart girl too and she makes her childhood full of joy and fun because of her witchcraft she enjoys very much her childhood with her own witchcraft
Bewitched, probably best TV series of all time. I would rank it even above Star Trek because it features cute kids
So is I Dream of Jeannie.
Tabitha gets in trouble good enough without “Tribbles”. Lol
I like the trick where Erin Murphy grew up to be a beautiful woman.
Erin Murphy has six grown sons. From Ms. Harper Stacey.
There is something else about Tabitha, she doesn't like to be bullied. 😀
Amen! You go little gal!
In Texan terms… she don’t take no bullshit from anybody!
She is Endora's granddaughter in that respect!!!
I love her when she was Lil now she’s beautiful still
Erin was so cute. Loved her in this part.
Tabitha is so so cute baby
Tabitha have a sharp mind for her age!
shes so cutttttttttttttttteeeeeee
There must have been some Djinn in Samantha's bloodline because Tabitha likes granting wishes. 😁
Or maybe a genie for sure.
@@ameliadiaz8040 Djinn=genie 😊
She's so helpful
Complete with monkey's paw-style unintended consequences!
In her actual womanhood, Tabitha must marry a djinn instead of a warlock. 🧞♂️
It makes you wonder how much of a handful Samantha was when she was a little girl, doesn't it?
Sam didn't have a mortal father forbidding magic!
@@stormwatcher59 No, but that doesn't mean that she wasn't a handful. If she was even half as impulsive as Tabitha was as a child, she'd have been a challenge to raise even for Maurice and Endora!
@@legaleagle46 In an episode it is said she once turned herself into a timber and went to some foreign country with the mail !
@@anaquinn1440 I know. A "timber," for those who don't know, is a postage stamp. Samantha turned herself into one after an argument between Maurice and Arthur over who was going to take her to be presented at Court. That's how she ended up in Istanbul, and the beauty mark on her shoulder is where the Turkish postmasters canceled her!
Tabitha was adorable. And a good little actress
At 4:50 I believe that is Diane Murphy not Erin
Tabata Lovely♥️♥️♥️
Thank you for the video. 🐇
she's a grandma now she's got like 3 grandkids
You mean 2 grandkids.
No way! She looks to young to be a grandmother. From Ms. Harper Stacey.
Hahaha the acting at the start though.. haha 😂
I liked it best when Tabitha, used her powers around darrins mother , Mrs Stephens is the only character I despised , and darrin couldn’t yell at her, like he did with Samantha or her family .
Loved it when Tabitha made the doll float in front of Granma Stephens.
Believe it or not, Tabitha is Aramaic for "deer" or "gazelle".
The maternity ward nurse later acted in the movie version of “Grease”.
I believe she was Eve Arden, an actress who played a number of support roles in TV and movies.
Hey love bewitched love tabitha she was so funny and adorable Hey love her in the episode its wishcraft
She doesn't work without me. I'm the key to all of it.
Pueden traducir al español las series de Bewitched por favor. Gracias. Son muy bonitas y entretenidas todas las series de HECHIZADA. Gracias.
Cutie girl!
The woman who played the nurse was wonderful. She is familiar to me, I just can't remember her name.
Nevermind! Her name was Eve Ardin.
It's amazing that Samantha had agirl.and Tabitha is a witch like her mom
Believe it or not, Tabitha Stephens was "born" on January 13, 1966; she's a Capricornian Green or Wood Snake.
Erin Murphy was born on June 17, 1964. From Ms. Harper Stacey.
@@harperstacey9604
After all she's a Geminian Green or Wood Dragoness.
She was so cute
I would think Aunt Clara would have been Sam's first choice for babysitter. Sure she was ditzy, but also thoughtful and caring. Then again, Tabitha might have taken advantage of her good-naturedness. Grandma on the other hand...don't even think about it!
"We had a girl..." can you imagine!?
Hello Erin, My grandfathers name is James Talbert Murphy.
You know if her mother had taught her to use and control her magic there wouldn't have been so many mishaps. And if her parents had allowed her to use her magic, she wouldn't have been so michevious.
Not the nurse from Grease!!😊
The twins who played Tabitha called the show's two main actors "'Mantha Mommy" and "Darrin Daddy" to distinguish them from their real parents. They were *in loco parentis* during taping.
I think they did a spin off called Tabitha
Lisa Hartman starred in it.
🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹
Why did that nurse tell Darren not to get too close? That's his baby he has as much right as sam to touch HIS child
It was the era, father's didn't raise children. And you never crossed the nurse.
@@heathergarnham9555 fathers did so raise children in the 60s
It was in the 60s when everything was much better..
That was the stereotype of a no nonsense nurse back in the 1960s. I believe that was Eve Arden playing the role.
@@AnimalLover-- the stereotype was that the man worked the woman raised the kids and kept the house clean. Besides at that time they very often didn't even allow the mother to spend time with her baby, they kept the baby in the nursery and some hospitals didn't even encourage breastfeeding. And unlike today if you were in hospital you did exactly what the nurse said.
he Beanstock episode was great. Jack was at her place......
The actor played both the giant and Henry VIII in another episode
Actor Ronald long. From Ms. Harper Stacey.
That wasn't Erin Murphy at 4:49 was it?
Good catch! No, it isn't Erin. It's her twin sister Diane in a rare speaking role. I'm the early years both girls were used for shots of Tabitha, but as they got older and started to look different due to not being identical, Erin was used more for lines and Diane was used for action or as a double.
@@jordanreid7076 Thanks for the info! 😃
Whoops. I'd already posted about the dolls and Tabitha.
確かタバサは自分と同い年だったと思う…👍
Early
How on earth can anyone raise a child with supernatural powers? They can be cute but they can also be extremely damaging. Heaven forbid the kid has a temper tantrum. Can you imagine what catastrophe might happen?
You can if you're a witch too. Samantha kept Tabitha in line.
Actually, it can prevent catastrophe. Sometimes it's inevitable that there will be something beyond control.
Use hate go to babysitting I use sit in chair why my brother and sister use play. I never did at all.
wow, a lesson in Racism, way back then.....did zero good though.
I wouldn't say zero good. There a many, many people who don't look upon others differently just cause they might be a different color. I'm very proud of my parents who raised me not to be racist or judgemental of others just because they didn't look just like me.
@@adamjones-ps good to hear you had excellent parents. A person of color would probably have a different point of view though, but good for you.
@@Roy-G-Biv As a person of color I appreciate all the sacrifices white people have made for me. Just because many are racist/bigoted/prejudiced, I do not judge all white people by those who hate. Someday people will learn to judge others based on their own merit, not by race or gender.
Darrin's mom needs to back off.
