Liverpool's Anfield & Everton's Goodison Park are separated by a short walk across Stanley Park. They've been huge rivals for years but families within the city are split.
After asking Celtic & Rangers fans these questions recently I thought I'd do the same for Liverpool & Everton. It's amazing to hear what football fans think of their biggest rivals!

As a fan of the REDS for over 45 years I have always during that time wished the very best for the BLUES. Evertonians are some of the best people I've ever met .

I watched Everton play a testimonial game in Belfast Windsor Park in the early 80s (George Best was the best player on the park that night) they were pure average before that and then became a real decent side after. You can thank George for the turn around🍺

As a Liverpool fan I'd pick Seamus Coleman. Solid Right Back, and we desperately need quality cover for Trent. Robbo, Tsimikas, Trent and Coleman would be sound.

Coleman is well in to his 30s - past it now.
In his prime, fair enough, he was the best right back in the league, and one of the best in Europe. But now, he's a brilliant captain but hasn't been the same since his double leg break

I think Everton’s greatest achievement has to be the first division trophies they won in the 80s, the player I would sign is probably Calvert Lewin, greatest ever player Dixie dean and my favourite Merseyside derby moment has to be when origi scored the final minute goal

An amazing video. I am really envy about British for their atmosphere of football. It is the best thing in the world to watch your favourite team playing in person every weekend.
As a reds fans always had the utmost respect for our blue neighbors and their history. Their greatest footballing achievement is winning the league and cup winners cup and nearly the FA Cup to almost complete an unprecedented treble in 85. Greatest player of all time Dixie Dean , in my lifetime Gary Lineker. Favourite Merseyside derby moment was beating them 3-2 in 89. If I'm being honest, I wouldn't sign a single player in their current squad, although I'd take a young Pat Nevin if I could go back in time, if I'm being honest, lol

We are hardly ever in the same division.
During the late 1980’s Everton & Liverpool were probably the best two clubs in England. I was at the game at Goodison in 1982 when Rush scored 4, I still have the match programme

Nice video mate, Funny stuff. Having been a Danish Chelsea supporter since the mid 90'ties, I only know of the rivalries from what I see on the telly, which is not so extreme for people (supporting English clubs) in Denmark. We do have FCK vs Brøndby. (two biggest clubs in Copenhagen) Anyway I digress.. So while I was watching your videos on Liverpool vs Everton, I though that it would be even more funny, if you could find couples who support different clubs. Just in London alone you have multiple clubs playing in the PL. So make some sort of competition between the couple and see if their love for each other will overcome the love of their clubs etc.

You should do derby and forest, we’ve been pretty well matched for quite a while so always have an eye on each other plus you don’t get the weird love in you get with cross town rivalries either, not many “me and me dad support United and me mams a Wednesday fan” situations in the east mids
Good for you, for persisting... As you say, there are differences in how open people are... It's certainly a Scots/English thing, rather than footballing... The Irish and Welsh are equally welcoming.

I think its important to state that when Hillsorough happened, Everton fans came 1st to support, the Everton fans still do : I'm grateful for that 🙏 when they didnt want Mr Shankly at Anfield anymore, Everton said they would take him (its in a book on King Kennys book) JFT96 YNWA NSNO 🙏

It was a long time ago when a huge chunk of our fanbase weren't even born. Yes, it was dead wrong and out of order but even then, it came from a section of our support not all of us.

Well in. As a Blue, couldn't stop laughing as we'd give as good as we get in this sort of thing. Don't want none of that lot in our side, either. But if I had to have one player come to Everton, I'd go for Sadio Mane', myself. Also, DCL had 21 goals in all competitions for us and has only improved season-by-season and the fellas have all gone for Richi and his 7 goals. Best moment between LFC and EFC is by far the crowd singing MERSEYSIDE before the 1989 FA Cup final!
100,000 scousers together in solidarity! EFC have been side by side with us since April 16th 1989.
Hope they stay up as the Derby is special. On par with Man U. But I’d miss them…
@Scal51 That was indeed a spectacular moment. Sadly, the amount of bitterness from the Blues has grown to such a level, that I very much doubt it would ever happen again. Don;t get me wrong, LFC have some arsehole fans too... but in general... in my experience... The Bitter Blues have well earned their nickname.."Bitters".

Most Liverpool fans bear no ill will to Everton and hope they do well (just not at our expense). Particularly now they have Rafa in charge. The Kendall years were Everton's greatest achievement and. The best Everton player I saw play was Kevin Sheedy, really underrated IMHO.

What is Everton's greatest achievement well imo it may very well of been the European cup in the mid 80's had Liverpool not got English teams banned from Europe after heysel stadium incident..!!!
Well it screwed Liverpool over as well, they would probably have 2 more European cups if not for Heysel. 1986-1990 team was stacked with class.
@@oscarfabi_ maybe so however Everton was denied a chance as favourites to win the European cup in the 86/87 season cos that Everton team was superior to anything else in whole of Europe on paper and as English teams was so dominant at this particular time in Europe it would be hard not to assume Everton would of won the cup that season imo..
I agree that Liverpool may of added to their total too but to deny a club the best chance ever of achieving this for the first time in their history especially when their neighbours had won it 3 times and a dominant 70's era too makes it hard to take I imagine for those Everton fans old enough to remember it anyway..
Banning every English club at the time was ridiculous when violence was rife across all of Europe not just England at that time and maybe uefa did purposely use this sanction as a method to halt the English dominance in Europe but if you feel it's not in anyway Liverpool fans fault for this then your seriously wrong cos without the fans antics on that tragic of days then the city of Liverpool would have 2 clubs with European cup champions as their honours today I'm pretty certain but hey that's history and we can only reflect but it's good sometimes to bring this up as it seems it's been forgotten by many as the decades have past but we should never forget what could and should of been had it not been taken away from them without any fault of their own..Fact..!!!
