  • Pt.Brij Narayan.born in 1952 is one of the most celebrated musicians of India.he is the son and disciple of the great sarangi player Pt.Ram Narayan.he is also the nephew and disciple of the great tabla player pt.chatur lal.he received his initial training from his father and later from p.chaturlal and ustad ali Akbar khan.though his early training was in sarangi and he is quite accomplished in it, he preferred to make sarod his primary instrument.he is accompanied on tabla by pt.suresh talwalkar,the great tabla player.movie made by purnabhat

    you are right.todi,shuddha todi,miyan ki todi are names used for the same raga.some people call it miyan ki todi to respect the composing musician

    Thanx for the upload. I have the record (1976, Sono DIsc). Both Brij and Suresh play magnificently on this recording. It is one of my favourite albums. And it is getting a bit scratchy now. Always been on the lookout for a CD-version. Did you upload this from a CD? Please post Kaushi Kanara as well.

    Why is this Shuddha Todi? It sounds exactly like Miya ki Todi.
