In this video I conquer the task of replacing the old Fords Steering coupler and fixing about 80% of my steering wheel play. This also made the truck way more safe to drive.
-EDIT- DO NOT USE CRUSH WASHERS OR NUTS IN KIT, USE CRUSH NUTS OR NYLOCKS.
Make sure the tighten everything very tight so that you don't lose steering, I take no responsibility if you mess up on your work, just got to say that haha. If you happen to have to adjust your steering gear box along with this replacement or fix make sure to only turn the screw 90 degrees at a time to allow the gears to wear together correctly inside the gearbox.
May The Lord Jesus Bless Ya!!!

Excellent. We have a 1972 Ford F-250 V-8 360 cu in. Today, I notice black fluid oil type on the ground under the truck. I checked it’s not the motor oil, transmission fluid, coolant. Your video is excellent and extremely very informative. Thank you. We jointed your channel. Shared with many others. God bless you 👍🏻😎🇺🇸. Keep up the great video production.
Thank You for Sharing, it helps a ton!! I am super glad I could provide some decent informative content. The Lord Jesus Bless y'all as well.

Thank you i just noticed that I have the same problem
EDIT: DO NOT USE CRUSH WASHERS OR NUTS IN KIT, USE CRUSH NUTS OR NYLOCKS.
Where are you, I’m in central Wisconsin, may
I do have a question for you how did you get the Column to move up enough to get the coupler out? I did loosen the bolts underneath the column as well still with nothing Thank you
Great Vid. What is the silver stuff you put on?
Thanks! The silver stuff is Aluminum Anti-Seize to keep the part from rusting up real bad. You can also use Copper Anti-Seize.
I'm a Christian man and I liked when you said that ..I also own a 1976 f250 crew cab.. and your right.. all cats now are junk.. ford was very excellent in the day
Does it leak through there
The gear box can leak on the input side from the steering wheel. They can and tend to also leak on the output side pointing toward the ground because the bottom of the gear box sees the harsh conditions of the road and weather.
He that dwellth in the secret place of the most high, the secret place is a personal relationship with our soul Father, dang, I’m going to mine soon or hire it, dang though my first gen ranger has two, the factory rivets gotta be drilled out then the top one has a different end than the replacement, or I can get just the rags for it,, hmm
Best wishes

I love to wrench though needed parts replacement can be a chore at times
