Last year when I was in my 8th grade band, we played this song for MONTHS until we got it right. Then we performed it in front of a huge crowd. I have to admit, I used to hate this song after practicing it so long, but I look back, and I realize how much I love it! I'm in my freshman pep band now, but I so wish we still had that song to play!
Samurott Gaming Inc. I love it when that happens. Just a few days ago, our band director gave us the piece: John Williams in Concert. We get to play the awesome Star Wars themes, as well as the Cantina Band pieces that go along with that. It's beautiful. We also got "Shrek Dance Party" which is the concert arrangement of all of the songs played in the original Shrek movie, haha.
I'm in love with how majestic this song is!! We're playing it in our band at school for a state-wide competition and I just love hearing it all come together. So beautiful.
My kids went to a music camp and they played this as part of their concert for us parents at the end of the week. It was awesome to listen to them. My kids play clarinet and flute and both said this was a lovely yet challenging piece that they enjoyed learning and playing. :)

playing this and western horizons for honor band. 7th grade trumpet at Rancho Pico Junior High. I play good but my endurance is trash so I always play badly towards the end of the page. Also, the accents are murdering me. I'm trying to get the accents as clean and as perfect as possible but it ain't working.
I tried it for a little bit this year as my secondary (primary is trumpet) and i liked it but I stopped cuz it was to much of a pain to carry it back and forth to school.
When I listen to this, I feel like part of me is part of a Lord of the Rings movie and the other part feels like I'm being sacrificed to Satan
