About this game:
When Isaac’s mother starts hearing the voice of God demanding a sacrifice be made to prove her faith, Isaac escapes into the basement facing droves of deranged enemies, lost brothers and sisters, his fears, and eventually his mother.
Gameplay
The Binding of Isaac is a randomly generated action RPG shooter with heavy Rogue-like elements. Hey NL, no idea if you read this, but you can be as zany as you want to. You don't have to take items just because it's "zany" or "novel". In fact, you should probably just play the way you want to, barring catastrophic mistakes (key meta). I'm pretty sure we all appreciate you and just want you to be yourself when doing runs. Keep doing what you're doing.

c4man44 the tick is a trinket gulp is a pill that eats trinkets and gives there effects permently and vurp gives you the pill you used last
Note that The Tick is a stupidly good trinket that normally can't be removed; gulping it would be great.

Serpent's Kiss + Brimstone basically never pays out because they don't die to the poison damage

There's only one possible crawl space per floor so it would've gone to the same crawl space he had just been to.

I once had an odd job to find escaped horses that blended in with the crowd.
I asked a rather tall looking man if he had seen any horses, and he said "Neigh!"
I asked a rather large woman if she had seen any horses, and she just whined.
I was getting discouraged and sat down on a bench, where I noticed some rather muscular teenagers playing basketball.
I looked at the court and saw they were playing horse. One of the teens missed his shot and scratched an E on the ground.
"You're a Horse!" I shouted to the teen. Every single one of them panicked for some reason and all trotted away.
I went to my boss at the end of the day and apologized for not finding any horses.
He screamed and literally kicked me out the door. Feeling offended I screamed "HEY!", and the next thing I knew the man, the woman, and the teens all came out of nowhere.
My boss greeted every one of them, looked at me, and snorted, and every one of them went into his office.
The next day I got my first and las paycheck, and found 24 carrots.

When tears are that high and your damage isn't massive, it just gets infuriating with brimstone.

Does Egg not know what Eye of Belial does? I mean, in my opinion, it would work well with brimstone since it's always passing through multiple enemies, so you'd always be doubling/homing your damage but you know whatever, I could be completely wrong...
Nina I just looked it up, supposedly brimstone overrides it, but I refuse to believe this. I can't accept the Edmund and Tyrone are that insidious, refusing to integrate what would be a great synergy.

I am a long time past the due date on this video, but I wanted to comment that at around eleven minutes the pavlovian conditioning that made NL chase down that heart like a kid who rolled his skateboard into a sewer made me smile. Just the "get it!" Followed by the realization made me laugh for ten minutes. How are there no comments on that?

Actually, there is a way to know in advance, it is how the reddit posts for the daily always have the full line up of items you can get in the daily, it is to use that magical option prior to starting the daily called 'practice', with this you can find out what happens if you choose to take damage on the 2nd floor :P

Unless they've changed how it works Sacrifice rooms technically aren't even cumulative within the same room/floor. The counter is actually per spike tile, which while it'll never come up in unmodded gameplay has an effect on some mods that use Sacrifice rooms to house some kind of reward with the spike tiles as obstacles
Watching NL do a daily you did is such a weird experience
Things that NL will never know
Serpent's kiss and Maw of the void got ninja nerfed, as the batteries on the chest/dark room
Bomber boy bombs, can trigger a chance to spawn a soul heart on blue flames by all of the single explosions hit up to 12 in a perfect place
Nl, on a daily razor blade,sacrifice room or Iv bag hits do not count towards the damage penalty.
Points you lose from hits are schwag points from hearths, keys, bombs etc.
The self sacrifice room however does count towards the damage penalty.

NL the dailies are really making it much more interesting to watch the Isaac videos because of the competitiveness of it. I like to be able to put my scores up against yours & I like to see you set yours up against someone else's. I'd like to see some races again because the competitive factor of the game really makes it much more enjoyable

What does the trinket Isaac's Heart do again? Because NL gulped it at the beginning of the run and I think that's what nullified the serpents kiss ability to create dark hearts
NL, if you still see this, self sacrifice yourself to 1/2 heart for guaranteed chance for chest. You had that possibility on floor 1. Been that way since Vanilla Isaac 1! L2P!

NL if you gulped the tick you would have damage off of bosses without giving up your trinket slot!
No easy way to get spirit hearts on the first floor? how about when you rerolled the rosary? the rosary gives you three of those things you wanted
The Rosary isnt *that* bad NL.
Spirit hearts for 2nd floor deal and who cares if you get the bible later. That goes to bookworm and makes libraries more likely.
Self Sacrifice rooms do not carry between floors; you need 12+ hits on the same floor to get to the Dark Room. This makes using them a bit harder, but it does let you get their rewards multiple times, which is great for the Keeper, as he can often build up a decent stock of Angel Items, including Holy Mantle...
Anyway, the one you used on the first floor did absolutely nothing for you; Basement Sacrifice rooms are rarely useful for anyone who isn't the Keeper.
