A bientôt 🤗 🤗
Perfect!
That plant looks really lovely in that pot!
Awh that was soooo nice!!! Thank you so much 💕 experimentation is one of the best parts about house plants! I hope you have all the success with the tree fern fibre! 💕 if you’re feeling brave, try plants with little to no roots in straight fern fibre! It will go nuts! ❤
Ok I think you sold me on rooting straight into tree fern fiber!! I'm going to give it a go 🤞.
@@mypetitegarden yaaaay!!! Would love to see how it goes!
This is really helpful and informative, thank you!!!
Tracey, can I ask about watering. You have a very well draining soil and the plants are in terracotta. Do you water daily? I want all your pots they are so beautiful.
I also have the coco chunks, my plants love them!!! Great choice🤗🌱💚been to New Zealand, and stood under the tree ferns, beautiful🌿💚 The mix looks awesome, I'm definitely going to try the fiber...that pot is beautiful for the Philo💚🌱
Tree Fern is magical!! I use it mixed with sphagnum moss! Just cut it into smaller pieces and separate the little chunks you'll find throughout the bag! I collect aroids & hoyas and they allllll love it!! 🫶🏼🌿🙂
I need to visit NZ someday, it sounds wonderful! Definitely try it and let me know how it works out for you. I think I might try propagating in tree fern fiber too.
I agree you could swap TFF for your soil. I use coco peat as my base and it seems similar.
Can't wait to hear how the tree fern fiber works out! What is that metal poker you use? I always just smash the soil down with my fat fingers and hope I don't hear the roots snap lol.
@@jojocasiano8039 Hi it's Kat, yes your right. I received one when I received my order of pumice. It's wonderful to use.
Yassss, Tree Fern is hands down my favorite substrate! Please try it mixed with a little sphagnum moss to root Hoya cuttings! I have tried Fluval Stratum, but prefer TF! It's magical ✨️🌿 The roots come in so quick & develop super strong! I got wayyyy too excited seeing the bag up there with your other amendments 🤣
Hahaha you are getting me so excited to try rooting in tree fern fiber!! Ok ok I'm going to give it a go.
I promise you won't be disappointed! I'll send you some pictures on IG to show you the success I've had with TF! 🌿🫶🏼🙂
Another lovely video. I came across GrowingGreen a few days ago and was also intrigued by Rachel’s use of Tree Fern Fibre. The texture looks similar to coco coir but I’m guessing it has more micro nutrients, as I’ve not heard of anyone using pure coco coir for propagating. Also you mentioned making your own bonsai soil. Do you grow bonsai too? If so it would be really nice to see a video on those sometime. Thanks for sharing.
I have been wanting to try tree fern fiber. Looking forward to seeing what you think about your new mix.
I will keep everyone updated!
We want to see your plant tours. I'm interested in your interior
My husband was passing by when your video first started. He said he's got to find some containers like yours for all of my potting supplies (which are stashed all over the house, lol.) I'm looking forward to seeing how your little plant thrives in the new mix. I'd love to try it.
😄 They are so great for keeping things organized!! I hope you find some, I got mine from Amazon I think.
Walmart has storage bins...reasonable prices also! Just sharing!!
I'm curious about why you didn't tuck the giganteum aerial root into the soil when repotting?
If it was longer and dangling down I would have tucked it in but because it's still fairly short and pointing upwards I did not want to force it to bend it downwards.
