Freezedrying does not work like that, it'd be a oxygen chamber which they can suck out the oxygen that'd enlarge the marshmallows since freezedrying only removes moisture (Note: if you open the oxygen chamber then the enlarged marshmallows will shrink because of the pressure)
Microwaving doesn’t work like that either🤓☝️, a microwave heats not like an oven but it uses water instead, water is made of tiny molecules and when the microwaves in the microwave shoot through your food it flips the water molecules up and down, exciting the water so fast that it heats up and the food around it gets hot too; therefore if no water in food (for example freeze dried marshmallows) then it won’t cook, also cooking doesn’t mean expanding.🤓☝️☝️☝️
