Vitamin C should be applied in the morning because it's an antioxidant that boosts your SPF and further protects your skin from sun damage. Retinol should be used at night.
That's not the case. The Vitamin C you apply at night gets absorbed into the skin. We could even argue that it's better to apply it at night since it will have a better chance at being absorbed and evenly distributed throughout the skin. Plus you ideally shouldn't apply anything under your SPF since it can mess with the formula and the whole sun protection.
Vitamin c can also be used as a recovery system too. I have a night cream w/Vitamin C by derma e. But I wouldn't have any need to mix it w/a hyaluronic serum. Depending on the weather in a person's area or time of year, one serum is enough. At least that's how I use them.
She doesn't even know what she's doing yet she is putting out a skincare line. It's a clear cash grab

Yes!! Those are my must haves.... lately I've been liking to slip in some niacinamide but either way these ingredients (even if hers has them) can be found in better quality, trusted products.

How do you not have A SPF in your routine for the morning?! UV rays account for 80% of photo-aging. UVA rays do penetrate windows. UVA is the one that ages your skin because it goes deeper. You should always wear sunscreen and reapply it. Period.

She never said that her skin is what it is just because of these skincare products ofc it's clinical treatment but you have to maintain your skin by skincare that's what she's doing! For those with overall “normal” (not acne prone, for example) skin, all you really need for “good” skin are a good cleanser (one that doesn’t strip your skin of moisture), moisturizer, and, of course, sunscreen. Maybe a hyalauronic acid serum to hold onto water and/or moisture from other products in the top layers of the skin. Everything else is a bonus but not necessary tbh.
Can you give me an example for a good cleanser and moisturizer, because I'm new this whole thing, please?? Also, I don't think I need sunscreen, since in my country sun is very rare. Is it still necessary?
@@katherinagilbert6613 I like Elemis, they have really good products. Pricy but worth it when I only use 3 things. Also spf is needed even during cloudy days because SPF still goes through the clouds. I got the worst sunburn of my life on a cloudy day actually.
That’s common sense. However some people enjoy pampering themselves with a long skincare ritual that winds them down at the end of the day and feels luxurious. An elaborate routine is not meant to be for every person nor do I interpret this as being sold as such. You have your choices always.

Why would you use the vit c only if it's night time? It's actually perfect to use in the day time to go along with your 🌞 screen (which is the most important part of a skin care routine) and maybe opt for a retinol at night..... if you don't have 1000's to spend on the treatments and procedures kim gets, the average person would see the most major science backed results from a retinol. Yup! Retinol requires lots of research and is often trademarked (if a good one) and she's decided to opt out. iF she does have a retinol product, Ill have zero faith in its efficacy.

BTW the font on each product is so tiny you'll need reading glasses to know which product is which. And putting glasses on a face w/product on it is just yucky!
OK people: I created a transcript for myself. And generous enough to share it:
1. Cleanser (few pumps + mixed w/a bit of water in palm to make a creamy foam & then on face, then rinse off)
2. Exfoliation (on twice weekly exfoliation days. Get a nice size scoop-full into palm, mix w/a bit of water & massage into face for 1-2 mins & rinse off)
3. Toner (put a few splashes onto hand or a cotton pad, swipe & press into face)
4. hyaluronic acid (1-2 pumps. this will help absorb the remaining products)
5. Vitamin C Serum (only at night. Squirt 1-2 pumps into palm & press w/hands onto face. It leaves skin “radiant & glowy”)
6. Eye cream (little amount on ring finger and gently apply around the eye. “so light & silky smooth”)
7. Oil Drops (Can be applied w/face cream or by itself. If mixed, mix in hand, share w/other hand, then use both hands to gently massage into face)
8. Face Cream (If you didn’t mix face cream w/Oil Drops, I assume you’d use it now-but clip didn’t specify what to do w/face cream or at which point to use it, otherwise)
9. Night Oil (only if at night-2 pumps into hand, then massage into face)
