Great video, the best CT5 video out there. I actually bought this car because I wanted a car with good fuel mileage. My thought was if I want to go fast, I will drive my Corvette. 3 months later, I should have bought the V. It is a very nice car but lack a punch, it has almost no passing power. It drives me a bit nuts, then I look at the MPG and think this is ok. I took a 500-mile trip and got up to 34.7 MPG, but it lacks power and it still drives me nuts. I honestly think I will end up with the V.
Thank you for an owners perspective. I'm like you - I need that power in a daily. But hey, at least you tried it for the MPG's. The V is sweet, I have a video with one of those as well on my channel and had a blast driving it..
Great video - just a couple of things. First, you are correct when you said that power is reduced because it is still in the break in period. If you look at the tachometer, the redline is electronically set at 4,200 RPM and will stay there until the care reaches 500 miles (the full break in period is actually 1,500 miles) so you are not able to perform full throttle acceleration. It will accelerate faster once the redline is lifted. Also - you CAN get the CT5 Sport with the better handling magnetic ride suspension, but only in the RWD version. If you get the AWD the this option is not available. Not sure why as it’s available on both RWD and AWD versions of the CT5-V. But as you pointed out, even without the magnetic ride suspension, the car still handles quite well.
I liked the full review, nobody does that even at the dealership.. funny how they let you explain the car but Awesome well done video 👊💪 Beautiful vehicle but I'd want my V automatic. Thanks!
Might as well get the Premium with the 3.0TT I don’t think anyone will miss the 25HP. I’m sure it can be gained plus some with a tune, meanwhile you’ll prolly save thousands.
I bought this same car! I love ❤️ it! Super classy, full size, fully loaded! The HD rear view mirror is amazing 😻 Bose sound system is very good! 360 camera 🎥 ❤
I don't understand why Cadillac will offer a Twin Turbo V6 in the Premium Luxury model of the CT5, but not the Sport. That V6 has 335 HP and is plenty quick. The CT5 V has 360 HP and really flies
You can get magnetic ride control on the sport by adding the V-performance pack which has MRC, Brembo brakes, and mechanical slip differential. It’s not available in the luxury and premium luxury trims.
Does anyone know if you get a track mode (tighter steering and stiffer suspension) in addition to tour and sport modes when you pick the V-Performance package on a CT5 2.0T Sport RWD ? I would assume so.
There is one key upgrade you need to make to this car. You can get a slightly detuned version of the TT 3.0 from the V for about $3500. That's a no-brainer for me. Makes about 100 more hp than the four cylinder and sounds way better.
Unfortunately you can only get the 335hp TT 3.0 in the luxury premium trim it's not available in the sport trim. Not sure why? I guess they figure if you want the sport look and the V6 you get the V but I think a lot of people who want these as daily driver can't really justify the extra expense of the V and the extra maint. costs of the Brembo brakes, magnetic ride suspension and more performance oriented tires etc. I had a Grand Cherokee SRT at one time as a daily driver. Loved it but got tired of brakes and tires lasting half as long as normal brakes/tires and costing twice as much to replace. To me the sport trim with the 335hp V6 would make the perfect daily driver. The luxury premium trim looks ok but just not as nice looking IMO. Just a little too old manish for my taste. (Even though I'm in my 50's! lol)
I love this car. Great design, looks great. Just wish they would update the infotainment section. The 2024 xt4 got a new one that looks awesome. Wonder why they can’t install it in the ct4, ct5
don't you think for the price there is a lot of add in $'s? I Have never been a Cadillac lover. I do like the exterior look of the cars the last few years but not one that I would have thought to purchase. However, my lease is up. And I'm looking for something else beside another Alfa. the Cadillac came is in my price range, but everything you're saying is an add-on package price. They are pretty standard in a lot of the other cars. So unless this starts at 25000 then price in the add-ons, ok.
What's your opinion on how the CT5 compares to the S60?? I like the S60 but can't get past the FWD biased drive train. Both these 2.0L are decent but still a bit lacking for this kind of $. The volvo 2.0L is more refined than the Cadillac 2.0L but the Cadillac with the fabulous 335hp TT V6 is still about $8k cheaper (here in Canada) than an S60
Cadillac loads up the extras they are things you make not like.also what's with the gray inside the doors, why not all black.esit for 24.5 model with the 33 inch ,like the xt4.Why didn't Cadillac put that wide view in the 24 model, lot of these packages should have standard.Nice looking car but xtras are big profit for dealers.
The dealership lend me this while they were fixing my 2014 CTS-V sport and it hated driving it. i found it completely gutless. if you want to go fast avoid this car.
Problem with GM is that they nickel and dime you yet their quality and overall value is ridiculously low considering how much they charge. Every part looks like it came from the GM parts bin. Rather then being unique because your the luxury entry you should have your own parts, style etc. Not the same steering wheel, seats etc as cheaper makes and models. My advice would be stick to a luxury brand that offers better value and reliability and its own identity rather then just a rebadged generic brand.
Just not enough for me. Your only option beside the CT5 V, is to get the Premium Luxury model with the V6 which makes 335 HP. It's pretty much a detuned version of the CT5 V engine but packs a wallop@@703Speed

@@703Speed Thanks again for the great honest review. I will subscribe and check out your CT5-V video.
@@fbj59 Thank you!
We have a V and drove the regular one it was worth the extra Premium for the CT5V
I had a CT4 Blackwing manual, traded it bought auto CT5 V . Much better in stop and go traffic. Love the CT5 V much more room. Nice nice nice car.

@@alexh5343 I don’t know. The CT5 350T Sport isn’t really meant to be a track car. So, I would guess no on getting a track mode on the Sport.
@@RfrancisR You are right, Cadillac confirmed me that there is NO track mode on the Sport model with V-Package.

The 2025 model will have the updated infotainment screen

Go caddy with the 3.0TT. You won’t be disappointed
Is the CT5 Sport ok to use with Regular 87 Octane Gas?
Love the review bro you gained a new subscriber I was looking to get this car but now looking @ the ct5 v so ima check that video out
Get the V!

I think the ct4 sport looks better even if the back is smaller but for a 5 year old in the back it’s fine.
Can anyone help I am 6 "2" No giant but tall Does it have enough room
If only they hadn't taken the infotainment system out of an Equinox... 2025 looks to be much better.
Nice job thank you
I looking at getting this in the colour summit white.

Tell me about it. I don’t run one on my personal car. Looks so much better without
@@703Speed The main reason I moved from Maryland to Alabama when I quit working - NO front plates in the south !!!
Is the regular CT5.......... RWD just like the V?
Yes
why didn't you floor it a few times to show us what it could do????
GM makes a few good cars.

A "Sport" that has 237HP? Lame A.F!
Well, the “V” is the one with the engine you’re looking for. The Sport gives you the sporty looks, the V gives you the looks and the power
