We just watched the trailer for what might be the biggest movie of 2024, Marvel's Deadpool & Wolverine. And as a humongous X-Men fan, I made a list of things I hope we see. Some are important. Most are not.

I think Cable NEEDS to be in it. I mean, come on. Deadpool in the MCU and we don't get the actor that was, somehow, cast as Cable when he had already appeared a couple times as Thanos, then the movies premiered within three weeks of each other?
He might possibly make a cameo or be mentioned/referenced directly but I doubt he will be in the film.
Imagine Cable and Cyclops meeting. Then Deadpool behind them singing🎶 “Father can you heaaar meeee”🎶

The joke is from the post credit scene from Deadpool 1 where he literally says “she could do it, she’s got range”, and if they were to actually do it in this movie it would 100% be played as a joke. But I’m not joking about wanting to see it happen. I think it would be a fun throw-away reference to something that a lot of people won’t immediately get, but those who do will love. I can even picture Deadpool saying “told you she had the range”

My wish is a 5'3 tall Hugh Jackman Wolverine variant
It would be HILARIOUS if they showed regular Hugh Jackman in the trailers, but in the actual film, they've CGI'd him to be 5 ft, 3 in for the whole movie.

I’d add to the Angel bit, at the very end of the fight, Casandra is on her very last stand, barely standing, says something like “You cannot defeat me. I am invite-” and Angel drops the pipe on her, taking her out.

Well, as of about 7 hours ago, you at least have your wish referencing "black leather" granted in ANIMATED form. (See the latest "final" X-Men '97 trailer.)
I know this would go against the usual parody openings of Deadpool's openings, but if they do do the fetus fight, they have to play it with some awesome, over the top, X-Men opening music, like from the second movie. That would be hilarious.

I'm keeping my expectations low, but Hulk vs. Wolverine would have to be number one on my wish list.

I want a version of The Hulk to appear in the movie and fight Wolverine! I wanna see that iconic battle from the comics!! Even for like 2 minutes!!!
Anna Paquin's Rogue is my number one wish. Followed by Channing Tatum finally getting to be Gambit. And then third one that will NEVER happen... Andrew's Spiderman, because i maintain of the three, his Peter would be the one that i could most see teaming up with DP. "I got rageful and stopped pulling my punches"
With the Old Man Logan ideas at play here I could totally see them using either Eric Bana or Edward Norton as an evil version of the Hulk for Wolverine to chop to pieces.

I'd love to see an avengers style reinforcements like that with as many versions of as many xmen as we can get.
Confusion as the younger cyclops from Apocalypse/Dark Phoenix looks at The original cyclops who looks at the young scott from origins wolverine, and the 2 colossus's or having faasbender interact with ian mckellen like how stewart and mcavory got to in DoFP. Both Nightcrawlers vs Azaezel, Angel vs Horsemen Archangel, etc

X2 really is fkn great. That opening scene is historic. Leifeld is actually in Deadpool as a background guy in a bar
In Colossus's intro ep, wolverine noted something along the lines of "You've got quite the arm on ya, kid".
In a later season, Beast and Wolverine executed the Fastball Special by name.
I'd love to see some redemption for Darwin and I feel like a Deadpool movie would be a great way to comment about how the mutant who can't die died
That angel joke you came up with is genius and hilarious. I honestly hope that happens in the movie but I also don’t want to get too hyped for the cameos and just hope for an actual good film.

I need James Marsden, Halle Berry to come back but out of the original X-Men I’m most excited and really need to see Famke Janssen to come back as Jean Grey. She is such an underrated actress and she suffered from poor writing. She did an interview saying she wasn’t in it but I’m gonna believe she is pulling an Andrew Garfield. James Marsden said that the Sonic 3 set was very close to the Deadpool set so that is him basically confirming and Halle Berry had a moment when she was posting pictures with short white hair that felt very Storm. I would love to see Nightcrawler from X2. Yukio and Mariko should have a cameo. They were from the Wolverine film which is very underrated. I think it got leaked of Henry Cavil as Wolverine. I want Tarim Edgerton as the mcu Wolverine so I’m hoping we get a cameo from him
We need the fastball special, the real one

Somehow some way i really need to see wolverine fight the hulk. Hugh jackman was asked in a days of future past interview who hed most want to fight as wolverine and he said the hulk and if we really miss the opportunity to see that in the ONE movie where hugh as wolverine is in the same universe as the hulk im gonna be upset
This is a great wishlist! Personally, I want to see Iceman the most. He's my all-time favorite mutant. But even if we don't see him, I'll be satisfied.
The cameos I want to see in D&W,
-Taylor Swift as Dazzler
-Channing Tatum as Gambit
-Chris Evans as Johnny Storm
-Taylor Kitsch as Gambit (and fighting alongside Tatum!Gambit)
-Both versions of Toad, and they both get struck by Storm’s lightning.
-Jon Favreau as Foggy Nelson, and Deadpool keeps calling him Happy Hogan 😂
-Kevin Smith voicing/mocapping as Mojo from Mojoworld who acts like an Online NerdBro and appears in a mid-credits scene to criticise the movie he (and we) just watched 😂😂
-Olivia Munn as Psylocke kicking ass alongside Dazzler!
Oh, and I forgot a few more,
-David Haller as Legion, explaining how the events of Legion S3 made the TVA erase his entire existence out of spite! 🤣
-Evan Peters’ Quicksilver shows up, and Deadpool says, “Hey, you’re not Aaron Taylor-Johnson!” Or “Weren’t you on a sitcom with an Olsen sister?”
-Random cameos from The Gifted characters, and the explanation as to why we never got to see more adventures from that show post-S2 was because the TVA erased their universe.
I feel like that scene where the bad guys are standing in front of the antman skull there’s 2 characters missing based off how they’re spaced out on one side and not the other. I think that’s where we get the fox x-men vs the group of bad guys.
Things I would love to see (pure fantasy):
- Wolverine and Deadpool should travel through various universes, with small skirmishes with Wolverine fighting Predator, both of them getting kicked out of the Baxter Building by Reed Richards, a Xenomorph infecting Deadpool who uses the hatched Alien as a weapon, sitting on The Simpsons couch, floating through space and accidentally knocking over Silver Surfer, and running away from the Independence Day invasion.
- Deadpool and Wolverine meeting the X-Men Evolution characters, all of them being shocked by the sight of blood and their cursing.
- The one who opened the Portal would be Doctor Doom, helping them for his own needs.
- Deadpool variants help out, except the one from Wolverine Origins, who joins Cassandra.
- Teast at some point The Maker is coming to be a villain.
Just some random fanboy rants.
The Deadpool Variant from X-Men Origins is the most likely one, since they've made him canon. However, he's dead-as unfortunate as it. Modern Deadpool shot him, to save fandom the terror of witnessing it.

One thing I'm surprised you didn't mention: JUSTICE FOR CHANNING TATUM AS GAMBIT! Get 'im in there, some reference to how Deadpool got HIS movie and Gambit didn't, maybe even reference how he actually called it in the Deadpool V. Gambit comic miniseries, MAAAAAAAAYBE even a "Remember it," line, even though it's probably too late to add something like that in.

I need just one teleport from Azazel or Nightcrawler where they show the "bamf" sound effect on screen
The movie should open like the first movie showing the DNA strands with the x gene and slowly pull out to show the two fetuses of Xavier and Cassandra and they do a psychic battle ending with Cassandra winning and doing Charles usual narration about mutation or something similar
I love your final battle idea! It would be cool to see Cable use and say "bodyslide by _" and that's how he arrives. Seeing him, Wolverine and Deadpool together would be amazing!

Miss wish is that is a great movie in and of itself and not just callbacks and Easter eggs. I love what we’ve seen so far and hope there’s more surprises and great action to balance out Ready Player One style cameos. LFG!
I have the feeling that this movie is going to be a combination of the Old Man Logan storyline and the "Here Comes Tomorrow" one, from the Morrison's X-Men Run. I can definitely feel that vibe from what I have seen in this trailer! 😀

My biggest wishes would be a reunion of the original X-Men with atleast Logan, Cyclops, Jean, Storm, Iceman, Rouge, Beast and Charles.
And a cameo of the 2005 Fantastic Four.

This would be my choice, mainly so that Deadpool and Wolverine's introduction to the MCU proper is a stumbling drunk Wongers. Seems more fitting than a dry Strange dialogue scene or retcon appearance in a familiar moment. Wongers would bring a great dynamic.

The best and funniest thing for the portal scene would be if they did go to the endgame fight but as soon as they get out of the portal one of Thanos’ drop ships lands on them and they spend the whole fight under it healing and we see them finally get out of there about a week later

Mostly nitpicking here but I absolutley loved how transparent you were that it was a wishlist and i reciporcate so much. Loved your pitches especially the call backs to the OG rouge actor. ONE HUNDRED PERCENT would love to see her get her offensive redemption because she is so overpowered. Hated xmen united for making her forfiet.
If there's one thing I've noticed about Marvel trailers, it's that they often reveal key climax scenes. So, I'm thinking the scene where Deadpool and Wolverine jump into a portal might actually be near the movie's end. Picture this: after defeating Cassandra and her dimension manipulation of the Void, as her stronghold crumbles, a portal appears. Maybe they hear a familiar, 'Strange' voice calling out, prompting them to leap into the portal, ushering them into the newly remade MCU universe just before the events of Secret Wars unfold. What you think?
