It's still going on in different ways💯I was a company truck driver on and off for 10 years. No problem. When I tried to become a lease/owner operator.I ran into problems like inaccurate tax situation, complete settlement not paying out. It was pretty bad when I tried to start my own business with the truck. I'm now focusing on my music. I'm really going to run into problems now because my music was just meant to be a hobby talking about my trucking career. It's pretty much my only source of income right now.
As a white American accustomed to a liberal, multi-racial social environment, I understand where this brother is coming from. I was SHOCKED when the neo-confederacy reared its ugly head nationally in recent years. Much of what lay hidden has become known through the voices of our African American brothers and sisters, to all of our benefit. Black history is AMERICAN history, and I am an American! The legacy of slavery that Evans points out is true, and barely scratches the surface, and Black and White remain largely on unequal footing. Nonetheless, we NEED EACH OTHER to confront the political evil arrayed against us -- those who seek to obscure history and profit from lies and disunity.
