Gen II is when baby Pokemon were introduced. Not only were they a new mechanic but they were much harder to obtain than the average Pokemon in the games. It seems that them being rares and holos is meant to reflect that.
My wife and I just found 4 packs of these still in the cardboard while searching for Chistmas decor at home. They are in mint condition and still in the cardboard unopened. Can't wait to see what they are worth! 1 Charizard Art, 1 Venusar Art, and 2 packs of Blastoise Art.
Am I the only one amazed by how great the art on the cards look like?! Ekans, 5:58, Metapod 6:03, Golem 14:07, Tauros 14:51 etc. I would give these a price from the art alone...
The cards you named might be like $20 the art itself plus the actual card is like about $40 because of the card coming from the box so that's $60 a card so $60 x 4 cards = $240!!!! That's crazy!

I hadn’t collected for a little while and I was sitting on an Evolutions box, but I sold it for about $100 last august because I needed money. I regret it because it was a 36 pack box and I would’ve just enjoyed to open it, as I have recently gone through my whole collection from over the years and sleeved it up. It’s all in a nice binder.
I so badly wish vintage pokemon was not absurdly expensive now, my absolute favorite eras for pokemon are the e reader cards and the delta species cards and sealed product from any of the related sets is so expensive now and obviously any of the nice singles are as well, real shame because since I was a young lad (since about 07) I've wanted to collect all the cards from those sets but now unless I have a spare 20 000 or more I don't think it will be happening :( F in the chat for all my fellow vintage lovers who can't afford it

Expedition Base Set (TCG) use tu have QR code on the side of the card for the gameboy advance qr reader since Ruby safire didnt ve alle the pokemon you use to need to scan those to get them in your pokedex Good Video !

I've seen in a lot of openings people praising the artworks on regular cards, but they are seen more often so they don't stop to look at them as they'd do with ultra rare cards, since these are not that common. And by the way, there are also 3D designs on regular cards, watch all the ones done by 5ban Graphics. And by the way, EX's actually balance collecting since having just holographic cards is too simple, and having something harder to find adds more of a collecting value to it and it's more fun.

I really dont Know what has happened in the past three years, but prices have skyrocketed so much. Three years ago i made very good deals on Cards, but today everything Costs thousands. Maybe due to Pokemon Go Hype? Hopefully Hype will go down, as a collector high prices are a pain in the ass
