      Lol, I have practiced MMA, Wing Chun and Aikido. I'm no keyboard warrior. Aikido works always after an atemi, but if you rely on ceremonial Aikido only, you will never have that Atemi. But if you have Boxing, Muay Thai or any other fighting skill, even street fighting experience, you can get that Atemi and then Aikido can take its rightful place. Fighting skill is the counterfire, Aikido is the conciliator, the harmonizer. You don't to try harmonizing first while in the chaos of the agressor's adrenaline, kicking, punching, slamming, biting, etc. You fight to defend yourself, then you move to neutralizing and inmobilizing.
      But your training doesn't deal with real attacks, with resistance, it relies on the attacker making wide and predictable moves. Come on, you are smarter than that😅
