This episode actually aired with the previous episode...they knew we needed the time to breath and cope after Kanan's death. Of note, the next two episodes also aired together, I highly recommend watching them together, as well as watching the final two episodes together as well. They all aired together, the team that created Rebels knew what they were doing and released that way for a reason.

I always felt that the wolf that said "I am Dume" was Kanan coming back briefly as a kind of force ghost.

It’s amazing how well an episode where hardly anything happens can be so powerful. It’s all about grief and loss, but also about memory and resolve. As morbid as it sounds, I like the way the show handled Kanans death. It was realistic, there needed to be time for mourning, anger, and confusion instead of jumping back into the fight. At the end of the episode their resolve for the fight has come back because of who Kanan was and what he stood for. Buckle up, these last episodes are a roller coaster of emotions.

Star Wars has a habit of not dealing with significant loss. This show though.... whoa. It *ADDRESSES* that loss and makes you feel it.

These last 6 episodes of Rebels Season 4, with the last two of Rebels Season 2, are among the best Star Wars ever, in my book. I thought it was courageous of the writers, directors and producers to spend an entire episode on grief and coping with loss and trauma. And because they did, the final 4 episodes are even better than they would otherwise have been.

I didn't even make it that far. Seeing Zeb greet them looking all happy and waving to them broke my heart because it was so wholesome and he had no clue what had happened.

Yeah can't believe Pryce was stupid enough to try and fool Thrawn about blowing up the fuel. If nothing else the punishment he'll deal out would be far worse then the gang if they caught her

Love this episode because of how they portray the emotional impact of Kanan’s death on the rest of our Rebel family. The next two episodes are honestly amazing - as good as Star Wars gets imo!

Watching these reactions has made me re-watch the series. And get ready for the next episode, it’s weird, but awesome.

There was a huge death on Walking Dead around this time and I watched that and then 10 and 11 of Rebels the same night. I felt absolutely nothing about Walking Dead but this cartoon with the weird animation, sometimes geared for young kids absolutely wrecked me. I think I cried for at least an hour and I'm a grown ass man with grandkids.

Your confusion is warranted and unsurprising. Without giving too much away the best way I can describe this and the next episodes is Mortis. From that episode in the Clone Wars to the Yoda centric episodes that started with what happened to Sifo-Dyas and ended with Yoda starting to learn what Qui-Gon manifested in the Kenobi series this is the most Force Centric that we have gotten since then. I can't give any more details as it would definitely spoil things but just know that this is some of people's favourite episodes of rebels because of what happens. For a kids show this picture is a surprisingly decent look at stages of grief. From non acceptance to anger to depression. Each member of the family dealt with it in very real ways. As for Pryce, she just the one thing that on does not want to do to a tactician such as Thrawn which is piss him off with arrogant stupidity. The next 2 episodes have my favorite guest stars in the entire series

The last few episodes of the final season almost play better as a movie with the pacing and the tight arcs.👍
The TIE Defender getting sidelined is a major win for the nascent Rebellion as a TIE with shields and hyperdrives would have turned the tide of the war in favor of the Empire.
Kanan's sacrifice is consequential for a number of reasons.💯😢

Not just knowledge, destruction. The ability to destroy all with what is as simple as a door. You won't understand this now but come back to this and you will

So Kanan's name formerly was Kaleb Dume which might give you the reason why the Wolf says that. They are very mystical creatures which make them very confusing to be fair.

Now we are reaching the real reason the Empire is interested in Lothal. Something Minister Tula mentioned back at season 2 before Darth Vader had her killed.

Concur with a previous comment; the creative crew of Rebels knew viewers would need an episode to help recover from the shock of Kanan's death.

7:53 Poor Ezra. When he mentioned Malachor and Ahsoka it made me sick and sadness that what happened in Rebels season two. I was wrong for Ezra after i saw Rebels season two😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢 Maybe Thrawn captured Hera to convince Ezra to learn the Truth about Darth Vader. Ezra must too that he is the last lineage of Mace Windu

Do you have any tears left in you? These episodes are hard on our hearts, Filoni made us care so much for our Rebels only to take one of them from us... I don't know how far you are but you definitely had better have your subtitles on for the one episode after the next, juet saying 😉
