Very interesting settings. But I really don't think you need to give up steering assist as it doesn't allow you to turn the steering wheel. It is very easy to make a mistake on the gamepad and turn too much, which would make your car turn. I will share with you my settings, now I show good results on them, but it takes practice. Deadzone 0 Speed sens 60 (I do not advise you to set this setting above 70, as you will not be able to pass high-speed turns.) Filter 80 Steer speed 20 (As far as I understand, this setting does not work when the steering assist is turned on.) Gamma 2.0 Steer assist enabled Unfortunately, not everyone has the opportunity to have a steering wheel with pedals. But the gamepad is a good alternative. And I really believe that you can have fun and show amazing results on the gamepad. Enjoy)
thanks for sharing your setup. i am for the first time enjoying the game now. thanks again. going between op’s non assist setup and yours. both are outstanding.
The majority of these settings feel very nice, however for anyone who is like me I do have just a few edits that could be made. Again this is not for everyone and you will need to practice to get the hang of any control scheme, so feel each of them out and see what is best for you. Firstly, the speed sensitivity and steer speed are on point, those settings seem well though out and I can tell you did a lot of testing to see what felt best, very nice! The deadzone being at zero is good for obvious reasons, unless you have a controller that has some minor issues near the zero point you should always zero that option out. Now, for the steer filter, I had to do away with this entirely, Its intended purpose is good, however I myself always have an issue with this in any sim. I personally need as close to a 1:1 input as possible while maintaining a decent amount of wiggle room for fine movements. With the steer filter set that high you may find it difficult to really know how far you are steering until it is too late and you have already oversteered, making chicanes especially difficult as you not only have no real idea how far you are turning, but you then have to turn the other way from a completely ambiguous point. With lowering, or in my case disabling, steer filter it would do you good to also set the steer gain to 1.0, maintaining that 1:1 feel as setting it higher would introduce the same issues as steer filter itself. It takes time, and you may feel this variant of these settings are still to snappy and twitchy, but I believe with practice your brain might find it easier to acclimate to a more linear control scheme, with the same sensitivities as shown in this great video. These are obviously just suggestions, you may find these tweaks to be abysmal, but if you think like I do, you might just find this useful. Thank you very much to @iGearhead for the helpful video, all of the other settings are now what I run and I find them very pleasing ^^ Happy racing!
I just got this game and I was very frustrated because I barely would turn into car would slide like it's on ice then I watched your video and set it to the settings cuz I use controller and it helped out a lot now I can drive thank you very much
As someone that was very happy with how project cars 2 handled adjusting the controller settings and feeling that this game is a step up in difficulty these settings helped a ton. Although i was struggling initially with the huracan GT3 and switched to the BMW 2023 car it feels much better.
Very impressive how you can drive with these settings. That certainly takes a lot of practice. Every car breaks to the right or left when accelerating and the steering feels as spongy as when driving on an ice plate. Extreme steering in the curves. I can't drive with the gamepad without steering assist. I have no feeling for the car
this helped a lot I just got into the game and im on controller hoping to get a sim setup soon my best time around the only track ive done is a high 2 minutes 8 secs with bmw 235 racing its so much different from forza ive played that all my life lol
I’m just going to wait for my wheel to come in… Gt7 is fine on controller but this games is just unplayable on controller. The car feels like an actual brick most the time and snaps super hard under braking
thanks its alot better but under braking car is very unstable i cant turn even little bit rear comes around instantly and in the slow speed little bit to much steering angle is available any recommendation? (i have played f1 for a long time and pretty good at it with controller but cant figure out this any help would be appreciated thanks.)
I also came from f1 to acc and what i can give as a tip is to adhust steer gamma a bit for ur liking if car is too snappy. But in general you have to slow everything down coming from fq which is more arcady gsme even with assist off. You just dont goy the grip, power to weight ratio and downforce levels that f1 car would have. Also speed is slower so cornering you have to be precise with analog not just slam left or right all the way or you cause front wheels to kinda scrub and slide if carrying a lot of speed. What i did was just slow down with my imputs and especially the brake you dont want to slam 100% in every corner. Also just lifting throttle makes the car slow down way more then f1 so some corners you actually dont need to brake. Or just tiny bit 5-10% for a short duration. Also you have to think the tyres and harsh inputs that are necessary in f1 corners are a killer and causes overheating and that is then making everything harder. Ik this is month old comment but i felt similar when i started acc after years of f1 and it is a bit of learning curve. Also if you hop from acc to f1 you feel the opposite. You feel youre braking too early and using less input when you shouldnt. Usually you settle to the other game in hour or two since muscle memory kicks in. Take your time and dont look at ur laptime in acc, just try to get some clean laps and think what went wrong in the corners you go wrong. Also suggesting to check setups from youtube since they have massive impact. Some ppl make setups that dont fit my style since im not precise enough and some make great setups that fit my driving like a glove. Check out fri3d0lf and bernagk1 for instance if their setups suit the needs of you. They have ok amount of setups for many cars and tracks to choose from. Also start with front engine car if you are tailhappy with the mid engines. They behave so differently but still good pace on all of them. Can make it easier to adjust :) have a good one
Best settings so far! perfect for Xbox controler, and without any stupid Steer Assist which is nonsense, I want to drive not computer help me :) Thank you.
hey Guys my back to pits it dosent work for ( Xbox one Controller ) any tip for help me ty!! someone toldme to download shortcut! i did it but didn't work
These feel horrible. I appreciate the effort made into making the videom sorry for the negative feedback. But I really can't see how anyone can benefit from these settings
I don't know what planet your on but that setup is undrivable for me! Too slow off center at speed, oversteers under corner entry, and under steers at high speed
Aw you're so right. I don't know what I was thinking! I should have known it wouldn't work for you Max Thomas. I'll let everyone else who likes the tune know immediately that there's a fix on the way. Silly us.

thanks for the settings! im new I was wondering if right axis can be set to throttle/brake and steering on directional pads?
Im new and these settings felt far better than the ones i tried before. Thanks a lot.
Thank you so much for this video i just downloaded the game and i couldn’t even get around the track without crashing but now i can drive just fine

yeah this game is fucking nuts without a ffb wheel I just can't drive well with so little information
on ps4 this was a literal game changer. thanks
I don't ve a PS4 controller but PS5
Isn't the same control experience

hey bro , how do you do to connect your controller on acc pc please?
USB-C to USB 3.0, or I also use the Xbox controller adapter. It’s like $30
hey Guys my back to pits it dosent work for ( Xbox one Controller ) any tip for help me ty!! someone toldme to download shortcut! i did it but didn't work
Awesome video will these setting work with ps4?
Most likely. PS4 physics will feel slightly different, keep that in mind
Just wondered what your fov is
It's somewhere between 64 and 67. That's the range that looks most like the depth you would see in VR
great setting but the steering speed is a bit slow for me so i just put it on 87 others wise its great
Awsome dude!
how long will it be untill stick drift enters the chat?
@@iGearhead u have onlyfans? free?
my ps4 controller wont even work on acc
:{
how do I use the handbrake/clutch on gamepad
LOL?
My steering is not great in the corners
Describe it, maybe i can fix it
this setting keeps me spining idk how
How do you mean? Like oversteer?
My car is just not turning
Wym
my car won't turn it's turning slowly in can not take the corners Because it's so slow @@iGearhead
@@Songoku_pet12 the visual steering is slow? Or the car handling is slow? Have you copy and pasted thr settings in the video?
These feel horrible. I appreciate the effort made into making the videom sorry for the negative feedback. But I really can't see how anyone can benefit from these settings
That's fine. If you were to take each value, and move it 10 points either direction you like, the game would be nearly undriveable. Try it.
