Those third gens are beautiful but a mess.
As a 3g owner I 100% agree, they look amazing, they are insanely classy and beautiful, but oh God dealing with my 3g was PAIN before I got a "Y" cable by chance at a local flea market, I've heard theyre picky when it comes to Solid upgrades, and battery lasts... Like 2 hours continuously at best, but God I love the looks of the darned thing
The original battery lasts as well as a new one does LOL
I put the new battery in the iPod I glued subscribe into instead of this one... XD
I figured it's cooler to have the 20 year old battery still doing its job
Things kept going wrong with this iPod. In the end one of the brackets for the back case broke off so I glued the iPod shut. It got what it deserved. REPAIRED but also in prison! XD
I personally dont judge/ care but small suggestion so other people dont absolutely flame you, dont use XD no one uses it anymore
We had it so good with the iPod click wheel.

3rd generation is older the clickwheel as we know it. It has separate buttons and a “clickwheel” that you can only use to navigate and not click except for the center one.
The clickwheel wasn’t until the first generation iPod mini! :) (the mini is the best imo)

FINALLY THE SEQUEL TO THE SEQUEL
The old batteries in these seem to always hold a charge I’ve only had like 5 of my “classics” truly have dead batteries and most of them were free from the recycling center… same goes for iPhone 2g, 3g, and 3GS in my experience
The iPhones are a good deal newer than these though. 2003 vs 2007 makes a big difference that 4-5 years for a Li battery
