- Last week, we met up with Ryan Villopoto to film him spin some laps out at Pala Raceway. Though, Ryan wasn't just shredding his YZ450F, as he also brought out a fresh YZ125 to break-in. We strapped our GoPro Hero 6 to RV's helmet for a few laps, as he put the YZ125 through the ringer. Take a seat, turn up your volume, and enjoy the crisp sound that awaits...

RV2 will always be a legend. Though I feel like he could've surpassed the GOAT and MC if he'd kept racing. Pure talent and so much drive. Would love to see him come back.

Man what are you talking about, the bike he rode at the Redbull Straight Rythm was one of the last factory kx250 " SR " ever build. You can find interviews of him talking about it on youtube.
Crazy how the fast ones like RV have to slow down or coast for jumps. Was cool seeing his speed pick up through the laps.
RV rippin' the shit out of that course! Whoa! I kept noticing just how fast he was going through the corners, and after coming out of them, he even did some wheelies. RV, still faster than hell! Would've loved to have seen him on this ride in person. You can't quite appreciate just how fast he rides, till you see him on ground level ... and he's INSANELY fast! Cheers, RV!

Because he was the best in the world a couple of years ago. These guys don't just turn slow overnight. Even a fat old RC would destroy most people for a lap or two these days.
Pierce Barrett I can back this up. Now I wasn’t pro but I was intermediate up until 20 when I stopped riding. Didn’t ride for 6 YEARS. Came back n still had it. No endurance n can only last 2 laps but I still had some speed. Took awhile to get used to boots and ruts again but I was jamming again. Surprised myself. When you train for years and years it sticks with you.

that was beautiful... so fast, i love me a 2 stroke, and blazing past all those 250 and 450 4 strokes... i know it was the rider not the bike, so mad respect to ryan. but damn 2 strokes are great. i still ride a cr125, 400 x slower than this though

I think he's getting stoked again, he's actual pushing harder... Nowhere near his limits, but he's getting stoked as he reels in one after another. Watch his video with the chrome kx250 on MXA, it's nowhere near what he's doing here.

I still have my 1998 YZ125 with a big boar kit when it was stock I would come out of any corner no matter if it was a down hill or a flat corner bumpy or smooth I would get that 125 straight up and down on every gear the front tire would be floating of the ground and the same now more then ever balls to the walls wide open 125 big boar screamer 125

Obviously fast as anyone, but he rides it different. He's way more efficient with the power. Most fast 125 riders are screaming it all the time. He just keeps it the sweet spot
