That is a solid idea. Playlists for tutorials, reviews, etc. Would make it a bit easier to sort through the huge catalog of content!

😮 The film on the plastic spoons are a silicone mold release. The mold is to separate the plastic spoon from the plastic steel mold. Another use for silicone is to use on plastic model cars, trucks. It is use to release the plastic parts from the steel plastic molds. This is why you wash your plastic model cars, trucks before assemble and paint your model. Use on any plastic model kits.
As I watch your videos I really see a lot of nice an different tools an or hobby tools an one can't say that a lot of the cheaper tools are alright also great video

I use a glass shot glass for mixing paint. I have a few.
No plastic waste and easy to clean.
Work for a plastic cup company now and can confirm the ridges on the bottom of the cup are for stacking to prevent suction. I was mixing in one and when my stick got caught on a nub shot paint right into my eye so I agree quite unpleasant! Most 'medical, graduated cups, will not have internal deformations from both injection and the stacking lugs. At least with my company. Polypropylene is also probably the resin you want (the less clear one) as it will be less rigid over all and the irregularity of the material makes stacking lugs less necessary. Both PP and PET, the normal more clear cups, are solvent resistant so no concerns there for switching

I have the very same dehydrator 31:45 and I can’t believe how long I went without using one, it is an absolute must have!!! The dehydrator saves so much time, the waiting for the paint to dry and cure was hands down my biggest gripe about this hobby.

I have the same dehydrator you have. I absolutely love it. I use it to dry paint, dry kits after washing them, and I even use it to dry out my 3D Printing filament. The swappable shelves are the best part!
Have you tried takeaway sauce pots? They are flexable and come with lids attached great for storing a paint mix you can use a pipette to get paint out mess free or just pour.
The dehydrator is probably the greatest modeling investments that I've made outside of an airbrush. My local grocery store usually has 24 count boxes of plastic spoons on sale, ten boxes for ten bucks! (I bought a bunch!)

Since moving to Hawaii I've become a bit more conscious of the waste I make. I recently started using 25ml glass beakers for mixing paint. They have the measurements on the side and a nice pour spout. Wipe them out with a little acetone and you're good to go. They are sturdy too. I can leave the stirrer in the beaker and it doesn't tip over. I think I paid $14 for 12 of them on Amazon.

Dude you gotta try the Dawn Power Wash spray it cleans airbrushes very fast and effectively!

YES! I bought those same terrible mixing cups. Splatters every where. Felt wasteful to throw them out so I relegated them to parts containers. They’re actually pretty handy for that!
I like the stainless steel swizzle sticks instead of the wooden. They come with numerous shaped ends and if you want/need a certain shape you can also file/grind to shape your own.
I see only one con with them,you can't leave them in your mixing cup as it'll fall over but I just drop them in a glass of water/cleaner and pull them out and wipe clean. Oh... after a few more min into the vid I see you have something like them at 13:12 and mention how you clean them.
I made my own turntable out of 1" thick wood and 3" lazy susan turntable bearing. I got the idea from making one a while back to hold all my fly tying tools like bobbins,bodkin,scissors,couple spools of my most used thread,etc. It has a little weight to it so it doesn't get bumped around or knocked over easily and can drill holes at any position to hold the clips/sticks

In South Africa, our McDonald's restaurants use to have these little plastic cups for the tomato sauce (ketchup) and I used those for mixing paint (free cups), mainly for acrylics as some thinners would melt the plastic, otherwise I mix in shot glasses which are reusable
Thanks much for your content! I recently got back into the hobby via an automotive restoration project. Much of the interior is made of plastic, especially the gauge clusters. The old parts can be restored quite well using plastic modeling skills.

If you need 1oz cups and in the United States go to Gordon foods and get their 1oz cups they are very good for acrylic paints and for other paint Shot glasses the glass only .the typhoon mixer is the best. I have a few Commercial mixers that are. I would imagine as the same ones as the typhoon. At a much lower price, I paid crazy money for them years ago from a lap supply company they have many tools that you might want to look at

I have the same knife and this one is great. I use it for work. and as for the cups, neither ones are good. the second one has rond higher center in it. The one you like, I splash my self a couple of time. I found one that is flat. Can't have flater than that.

Just received my dehydrator and had to file a complaint with the post office, driver just dropped it in my gravel driveway, luckily no damage. I’ve looked through your archives and haven’t seen anything about advice on using the dehydrator and settings. Also wondering about leaving the car body on the Tamiya holder. Will the heat cause the metal to damage the body?
I notice on one of your brushes you had a GSI Drain & Dust Catcher (Light?). How does it compare to the typical clear-bottle brush-grip moisture traps (e.g. Iwata)?

That Micro Mark mixer is sold under various names and configurations. I’ve had a “powdered drink mixer” version for ages.
I literally need a powdered drink mixer, the one I use daily died, and the replacement is dying, so if you had yours for ages I’m very interested in hearing what model and where to buy!

I am surprised that you don’t use sanding tools. I pla gunpla, planes, and cars and I have to sand all the time, despite that I use Godhand nippers.
Thanks for another useful video. I have a recommendation for you: a "goose neck" squeeze bottle like they use in chemistry labs. They work great for thinners. The control is nearly as good as a pipette, but with way more capacity. They are solvent resistant and have an airtight lid. They come in different sizes and are easily under $10.
I have several goose neck bottles here, I got them at the tattoo supply store near me. I did show them in my make your own acrylic thinner and cleaner video
You’ve probably covered this a dozen times but what’s a great parts separator? There’s a bunch that all look the same except Ansai, Dspiae, Tamiya, and the 9$ wave tool. Can a simple guitar pick work just as good? Sorry.. I get nervous about breaking down a sweet master grade that I’ve already spent a lot of hours on. Thanks!
So, if your humidity level is unacceptable, what do you do about it? Do you have more of a problem with high humidity over there? Do you run a dehumidifier when that happens?
My central air conditioner also has a built in dehumidifier. Run it about and hour and I'm good to go if I need it

Those Gaahleri 68 Air Brushes are great, I have 2 one for each needle... 😁 I have one of the Harbor Fright brush stand and I just rebent the red holders to fit the 68 brushes. Fits now... Lol

"Colorshot" acrylic paint ? I "was" getting it from Home Depot until they discontinued it. Michaels still carries it. It comes in spray paint and 2 oz. Squeeze bottles.
If you are familiar with it, have you featured it in any of your videos ? I have thee entire line up in both spray and bottle. I have yet to try it in my airbrush.
I don't have much success with acrylics in airbrushes. I would like to start using it in my airbrush but waiting until I see someone else having great results.

I did a video here on them. Pretty good, I just got their chrome which is actually decent. I've never seen their bottled paints
