    I left most of my gourds outside on the vine and they molded. The ones indoors did a bit worse, but they all had mold. I believe the mold is part of the process of it curring.

    Use a hole saw to make the holes rather than a knife. Much nicer look.

    Do you need to clean inside the gourd?

    When you mount them….Is the hole supposed to be facing a certain direction?

    How/where did you dry your gourds? I've been told to leave them on their vines all winter & they'd be pretty much ready to use in the spring. What did you do to get yours dried out so fast!?! I agree, use a hole saw.

    Growing 8-inch gourds took me 3 years. Comprehending the chemistry of soil is no quick task.
