I feel like a huge part of the Titanfall appeal was the contrast between your giant mech vs your super speedy pilot, the apparent lack of movement doesn’t give good vibes

Gotta say I clicked instantly when titanfall and division were mentioned. But that gameplay looks...rough. Which is sad as I had already let hope in lol.

Yeah… it looks very clunky. It just feels like it has all the hallmarks of something that presents itself as some sort of redefining gaming experience but the result ends up being a bunch half baked systems cobbled together. Who knows but I have a feeling it’s going to try and do 100 different things but none of them particularly well.
Dont get your hopes up, NCSoft is notorious for making terrible games, and adding an abysmal cash shop.

Yeah, seems to be the case with most East Asian games studios and their shooters. They just sound so artificial and flat, dunno if it’s because guns aren’t as accessible there or that they’re cheaping out. Could be both tbh
The most recent trials weekend has ingrained the khovostov's ricochet bullet noise into my head almost as much as the immortal lol

Yeah I tried TFD and it was the most uninspired game I played in a while. The sound was flat, gameplay less fun than Anthem and the only selling point is thick asses and lots of cleavage. This game looks the same minus the cleavage.@@ghosthdizzle2846
It looks good but for some reason it doesnt feel like an actual game like what we are watching is just a really brushed up trailer of what they hope it can be.
giving it way too much credit. I’ve been around long enough to know this looks shit. even graphically it looks so incredibly bland, grey and uninspired. the whole looks so boring
@@fringehouse I want to say the graphics are bad but I cant it does have its moments graphically but you are right it does just look so copy paste (not a good copy paste) of some other games. So empty.
i just cant stand these types of games anymore, its graphically okay but its always the same overgrown desolate architecture, theres never anything interesting about the world in these games

Minus the bad stuff destiny has set the bar for gun play and ability use. It’s rare to see a new game come out now days that can offer what they have given us.
Dunno why it’s hard to get a feel for how good gunplay feels like Destiny gunplay tbh. If the other looter shooters had a feeling like that, they’d get more retention for sure.
So many "MMOS looters" have came out and none of them seem to come close to how well Destiny, Warframe and the Devision has done. First decendant is okay but the story is a 1/10 I'm just getting to the endgame at the moment but I do injoy the gameplay of first decendant...for now.

@@killval849 They lack the home-ness. I can always go back to FF XIV, Destiny, Warframe.. Korean games do not have that for me. Maybe it has something to do with Koreans being absolutely unable to tell solid coherent story and hire voice actors somewhere else than fiver
Most non Japanese East asian games are all P2W garbage sadly. Most recent example, The First Descendant.
@@thepeps101 Yeah. The only difference is, some Chinese games are actually good games, just with predatory monetization. I enjoy Mihoyo games and over years I did not spend more than 100-150 buck. And every time it was rational decision to buy battle pass or something because I got loads of fun in those. Korean games.. they specifically make everything so complicated, menus on top of menus, story is always trash. Lost Ark at least offered awesome bosses but that game also has one of the hardest paywalls I ever saw.
Just waiting for Exodus, made by the former devs that worked on the Mass Effect trilogy.

I get that big robot = Titanfall but it honestly looks a bit more like anthem with how the gameplay works
The robot segment reminded me of HAWKEN more than Titanfall tbh
No melee mechanics shown, jetpack looks more like its only useful for boost jump and dropping in from the heli - No free flight from what we've seen.
Not anthem at all movement wise, which is a MASSIVE part of the great feel anthem had.
You know how advertisements for gaming monitor always uses a fake game to avoid copyright, will this looks exactly like those games.

THE ONE AND ONLY thing I could actually complain about in new build is getting rid of OG HUD, its been sooooooooooo much more fun in first iteration
The thing that Destiny (in my opinion) has over every other game like it, it’s more than just shooting. The Division 1 (I havent played 2) was just killing bullet sponges and moving from cover to cover, wether you’re playing solo or with a team of 4, its the same thing over and over again. Destiny takes it up a big notch by adding puzzles and other stuff you NEED to do, working as a team to actually do something more than just shooting. For me it just makes it a lot more engaging and interesting. Everyone can make a looter shooter, but making something that can compete with the Raids and Dungeons of Destiny 2 is just another level.
We just got The First Descendant and Once Human and with games like Stalker 2 and Black Myth Wokong coming out in the next couple months I just don't have time for anything anymore

To be fair this game is like black desert/crimson desert. The first trailer for this game goes back to like 2017 im deadass.
These are the same guys that made Guild Wars 2, could be good, could be bad depending on how you feel about their past work
That mech gameplay literally looks like Rock-em Sock-em Robots with rubberband guns, it lacks immersion so badly it just feels like an afterthought they are duct taping in to make the game seem different from others in the genre.

I’m sorry but what the fuck is the point of that itty bitty thruster backpack activating while they’re sprinting? It looks so stupid, like they’re not gaining any speed at all.
Side note: no one puts down walls as cool as titans do, with the shoulder bash animation. Unless there is a cooler one. Only ones I've seen are "slam ground", "throw ordinance at ground", or "aggressively put palm out like you're casting magic".

I’m tired of people comparing every game that come out that involves guns and loot to destiny in all honesty and truthfully speaking my opinion is that I think that majority of the destiny community wants something different all together but is too scared to venture out

most shti thats different is ass though until something comes along to actually properly execute things in a state thats competitive to what we already have or a genuinely new experience not some copy paste bs i dont care whats coming next. the first descendant for example copy pasted assets from destiny itself lol go look it up its very real. this has so many elements copied from the division. why would i venture out as you say when the things to venture out to are poorly executed asset flips of what we already got?
Destiny, despite its problems, is a very polished experience. Its lore, gunplay, abilities and pve content can't be found anywhere else.
You are right though, that destiny players want something new. But what they want is a direct competitor to destiny. Something that has all the elements that they love about destiny and more. Anthem died pretty much on release. The closest thing we got was Borderlands 3, but that game had the worst writing imaginable. Even though the gameplay was good, the dialogue in that game made you want to kill yourself. Outriders was cool but short-lived.
There isn't any game out there that can fill the niche that destiny has. And those games that do try don't have the same quality. The first descendant feels soulless, because it doesn't have an artstyle. On one hand you have a character with her bare ass hanging out and on the other hand you have a fucking panda. And it has audio issues that really stand out. Maybe that's a nitpick because I don't really like the game, tbh I would rather play warframe.

Project LLL has been in the works for a long time. In fact I saw a bit of gameplay of it before I ever heard of Last Descendant. I don't know what PLLL is trying to be, but it looks like fun to me. I enjoy games that mix genres and I'm interested in where it's going. I think a lot of this footage is from a year ago or so, and hopefully when they release new stuff there won't be frame rate drops. I really hope it isn't a Day Before situation but who can tell any more?

For those curious, the Mech appears at 19:34 .
And, here's where the main flaw of the game comes out.
The game uses a Third-person camera, however, they use a first-person view in the mech. This causes the models of enemies, which are intentional larger because of the third-person view, to dwarf the players viewpoint. Paired with the visual effects, and you cannot see your target half of the time.
In other words, the enemies are not designed for a First-person camera.

I'm slowly starting to hate the 'Sleek, sterile futuristic' design of some of these games. I miss the old school crazy, wacky futuristic idea where things had to be over the top and bombastic. Some of the newer titles coming out with the super simple gun design feel like they just didn't finish the gun models and put the game out anyway. I hope we start to see less of this in the future and get more weapon design like in Destiny and Warframe. Would be nice to see more outlier ideas in design rather than the same boxy designs over and over.
I LOVE games that do third person but first person for aiming.
A visual design test bed, and a further refinement of a system and systems that already exist. How the heck have we reached a point where new ideas look like old products?

My main issue is just there isn’t much enemy variety that makes me go “I wanna fight that that looks insane” maybe at the end with the not zombies but other than just it just feels like your shooting enemies that do not understand the concept of tactics
