Yeah, well of course, Stray Kids entire lore stems from their being themselves. Even though doing so meant they were hated in korea for it, and even if their originality meant that the label couldn't risk giving them a budget.
So here they were, a big3 group who had wirked their asses off to be a big3 group... Who had to make a choice. Wait and possibly never debut if the label goes under, ir debut now and work their asses off right along side TWICE to get the label back into the green again. All whilst having 8 (9 for the first year) members living in a two bedroom one bathroom apartment, and struggling for YEARS to come up in the industry on their own music, and their own earnings... On their own merit and verishin.
So they did just that, and they did it with all of Korea telling them to give up and that they weren't what people wanted. No mtater what they were thrown, no matter the horrific shit that happened to them, they still pushed on. Just hping to eventually show people that the stereotype of Kpop idols is just that, that there WERE idols who WEREN'T a product of their label, or the product of what other K-pop groups were popularizing. They ALWAYS refused to be anything other than the guys they show you they are, ALWAYS remaining true to themselves.
For them, that also means being their very experimental selves and never settling into any particular sound, even if it was massivly popular with the fans or even the general public. They THEMSELVES truly rebelled, their goal... to bring together others who have the same spirit. Their lore and concept are nothing more than their own story and their own selves portrayed in their own storytelling metaverse. That's just ... Stray Kids.
👏👏👏🤝🤝🤝they are absolutely special! No group has been able to pull me in the way they have. Previously, it would never have occurred to me to look at the names of the members and read about the history of the band, lore and the meaning of the songs (English is my second language and usually all the music was understandable) and here is Korean and THEY are SO COOL that I lifted my lazy ass and here we are)))
