They said "this time, keep your selectors and coaches and change your entire team and have the guts to tell babar, Rizwan and few others to sit at home jobless!" Most of the backlash for Pakistan's failure and humiliation has been on the Pakistani players especially batters and babar, not Gary and rightfully so!

Butler was the only threat in that order. Livingstone has been a failure. His bowling is part time at best on pitch tailor made for spinners. Brook hasn’t proved himself yet against spin. Curran is a spent force. Jordan is at best a second 11 player in most top sides. It should have been no surprise but for Wisden “experts”, England are the best side ever. 😊

After a 5-6 year hiatus from watching cricket, two things that bug me after my return:
    1. What is this BS about not bowling a certain bowler because a right hand bat or left hand bat is at the crease. When did that become a thing.
    2. Not rotating the strike because a lower order batter is on the other end. I mean, I understand that in tests but in T20?, everyone can slog in T20s.

If you'd asked me to predict how England would get knocked out of the World Cup a month ago, I would've said we'd choose to bowl first on a flat pitch(Sharma said he would've batted first), Chris Jordan would get smashed to all corners(37 from 3 overs) and we'd get well-beaten whilst trying to chase a challenging total.
It's all so predictable and will continue to be for as long as we have this strange obsession with bowling first on bat-first pitches because we'd rather chase big totals than defend big totals.
It doesn't help that our captain lets terrible bowlers like Jordan bowl at decent batsmen.
You can get away with asking him to bowl late on against sides who are 7 or 8 down but sadly, not all oppostion batsmen bat like American tailenders and as we've seen for over a decade now, if you let Jordan bowl at proper batsmen, he'll get hit to all places until they mistime one of his many buffet balls and get caught on the boundary.
Rob Key made the bizarre claim that we'd recalled our second-worst bowler of this century to improve our batting. Well Jordan has scored a grand total of 5 runs in the 7 matches he's played this summer.
To be fair, Jordan is only partly to blame for our demise. We've hardly got loads of genuinely world-class players who consistently prove to be as good as anyone in the game.
Ben Stokes and others may think we had a good World Cup but the truth is, we played four games against Test-playing nations and lost three of them!
Some would say we were lucky that the rain prevented Scotland from beating us!
It's certainly time for a new coach and captain and the old guard need to be moved on.
