A local wedding venue closed without notice. There are no details, so I don't want to rail all over this place, but what do you do? Osmo Pocket 3: amzn.to/4d6FCap
I'm always late to the party and watching after the stream. We have those long weddings and endless unbroken dance sets here too, and they can be a struggle. I try to tell couples that the difference between leaving them wanting more and wearing them out so they leave before the end will make a huge impact in how they remember the event. I had a 4 1/2 hour dance set in 2023.
I think the venues have to change their times. Then that will help with these long weddings. I’m honestly tired of having this conversation with couples lol
The DJ that wants to help out has no bookings whatsoever in 2024... outright stupidity. A Catering Hall should step up and offer the brides and grooms a decent event package. Great stuff Aaron.
The amount of corny CZcams wedding djs is crazy. You guys are really confirming what everyone already thinks about wedding djs. Keeping that corny stereotype going fellas. Good job.
People try to book these 6 or 7 hour receptions sometimes and I've got to shut that shit down. Then I remind them that, at their peak of partying/dancing in college, they would pregame at someone's house... Show up to the club at 11. Get a drink and do a lap/socialize for an hour, then they would rage from 12-2 then go home. So if they only danced 2 hours in THEIR PRIME, there is no way they need a 3-4 hour dance floor at their wedding 10ish years later.
In Spain the weddings start ceremony around 1pm, then cocktail hour till 4pm, banquet till 7pm and the shortest dance party is ranging from 4-7 hours of djing (nonstop). Not complaining, but in USA seems like it's waaaaay simpler and shorter, I wish it was like that in here :)
Crazy, weddings in Germany start at 3pm with ceremony, usually first dance is about 9pm and dancing ist at least until 1, mostly until 2 or 3, the latest I had was until 5.30 am… Quick mixing the first 2-3 hours, then you have to long mix but often most people (except for the elderly) stay at least ‘til 1 am… If you ever want to discuss our setlist tell me, sometimes i have about 150-200 songs in a Dance-Set.
So much to unpack. I dont know how I'd word it, but I'd let it be known that i may be an option to those couples. Remember they lost their venue...no venue = no date. That potentially opens things in case their original vendor is booked for their new date. Super sus and shady by the venue btw... no one to take calls, but they know where your business is... :sipstea Do you play the original version of the songs you mentioned or remixes? I feel like they're old enough where a remix will breathe sime life into them. With your long timeline do you even get "one more song" chants at the end? If not, you're unfortunately missing out.
Here in Wakanda, we have de ceremony from 0800 to 1200. We then have traditional on'ye akee' oulie which loosely translates to "fingering the water buffalo" where the groom spoons with the new father. We are then dancing until 0800.
The other thing that drives me nuts is when they serve pizza or deep fried snacks midway through the dance! 20 minutes that everyone is eating, no one is dancing and then the food coma sets in. 🤬
That follow feature is cool. But after a while it is a bit off putting. That function is really meant for action scenarios. A natural camera person would not move that tightly for minimal head movements. Otherwise good show!

Are you talking to me or…
I take a break to paradise by the dashboard light. I don’t take a break to medleys because I want the crowd to think I’m mixing. 😂
Thats a double deuce song lol
I played Mo Bamba at Prom and they did exactly that. Been hired ever since. 😅
I agree! Need more Bruno! Old stuff still works, but could use a couple new ones for sure.
I know the venue in the thumbnail...I had to make sure that venue actually didn't shut down...LMAO. Great content man!!
gonna create a panic in that town cause I used google lol

I hate when open dancing is 3 or more hours. Brutal. 1.5 to 2 is perfect to keep the energy the whole time.
You know Cascada released "Aint No Mountain High Enough"
In Ontario Canada, 3 pm ceremony and we go until 1am or 2am. Easy 12 to 15 hour DJ days.
Well to be fair, what else is there to do there lol I kid I kid
30:01 Here in eastern Canada it’s ceremony anywhere between 2p-4p with reception ending between 12a-1a. 💤
Toooooo loooonnnngggg lol

That stamina is unreal for a dance. I'm just surprised people want to spend the entire day there
Pocket 3 looks good man. Your channel is looking better 🤙🏻
Cheers! 🍻
Awesome, thanks!

"I know you're stugglin right now"
Awe boo hoo lol. Up here in Canada the dance starts at 8-8:30 and go till 1 am
Hey, I've earned the right to whine lol. Ok- serious Q- why are the dances so long? Do people actually stay the whole time?

Appreciate the feedback. I liked it and didn’t. I like that it’s a different way to stream
