    I have the CDR-70 myself and the duo is the only monotron I don't own I actually did a similar experiment on my boss RV-6 reverb with my monotron delay and got a really cool cinematic sound using the shimmer reverb on the boss and I controlled the timber using the tone knob for the shimmer

    This sounds amazing ! A huge reverb can make basically anything sound epic and cinematic.
    What you are doing with the Monotron Duo here reminds me of old BBC Radiophonics soundtracks from the 70s, which were also done by getting super creative with very "lo fi" setups.
    The reverb makes such a difference here, I want to go looking to see if anyone has a recording of Bladerunner score, without any effects.

    Great stuff! Monotron Delay does it without outboard fx. It gets trippy as hell.

    That was cool. I have a Monotron duo and the Monotron delay. I'd bet together you might get more effect along with the chorus?

    ok so you're going mono INTO the MS-70 so i just wanna know if i should go for the cheaper MS-50, because i will be using it in the same way you're using yours here in this video. any info appreciated i am trying to learn this stuff.

      Hi. MS50 and 70 are similar but the second one is stereo, so for my needs is better. Yes the input is mono and the output is stereo because there are some stereo effects in the chain that do the magic. Keep on !

    cool lil synth it is the best sound generator of the Monotrons imo, however tuning the pitch is a pain and I usually keep a tuner handy just to get the notes or auto tune the samples later

    having resonsnce is really nice. the original monotron has it. but the monotron delay lacks it. why camt they make a monotron rhat has it all

    • @ElectroMagnetic_AmbientMusic
      @ElectroMagnetic_AmbientMusic  Před 2 měsíci

      It would be great to have a monotron delay with resonance and also octave choice. There's always the possibility to modify it but you need some skills

    • @ElectroMagnetic_AmbientMusic

      Well... You don't. It becomes part of the composition 😆
      Anyway, use a good audio interface and good cables, cut the low rumble under 30hz

      @@ElectroMagnetic_AmbientMusic Might aswell ignore it. Just sayin', some kids barely have what we can afford nowadays, but nonetheless they still make beautiful sounds with whatever they have.
