This was recommended to me
hell yeah i did, where is part two lol
you got me 😉
I need this cuz I’m trying to fix my bike that I totalled with a ramp.
i did, trying to make my dream bike bmx/mountain bike hybrid
Excellent breakdown of the assemblies and steps. You’ve done a great service to the biking community.
Amen to that.. ❤🙈
Agreed. Detailed Tells you everything you need to know. Thank you!
Hi popopo
This guy is an excellent teacher. Tone, pacing, just world class.
This is exactly what I want. I want to build one bike at the very least in my lifetime.
I really hate when people say why build a bike when you buy one. For me it would be very nice and informative to build a bike. That way I would probably learn so much more about how my machine works! yes I can buy a new bike but I would still buy upgrades! that’s what motorbike riders do to create the ride much more comfortable and personal that way to keep the confidence up! nice video and channel!!!
I want to buy a new Tarmac and Fsr 29er and upgrade my fathers old Specialized Sequoia
For you it's about knowledge for me it's about finances lol
Kyle Outen just hate to be stranded somewhere and don’t know what the heck I’m doing lol luckily I haven’t yet
Appreciate this video and I'm only 12min in. Well done man. Most build videos just show the build with no explanation and I haven't seen any on YT as detailed as yours. Your insight into focusing on what standard you need and measuring have me less apprehensive about doing my dream build. Cheers!
Lovely, I used to be so scared of building bikes because I thought that it would be so hard and I wouldn't know how to buy parts or check Compatibility this is an awesome guide
This was incredibly useful. It was like a free online course.
Lots of respect for high quality content.
Thank you so much man!
Started Mountain biking last year and you don't know how much your videos have helped me with the maintenance. Great videos and great channel!
My goodness Danny... so much hard work you've done to bring us this video... thank you for being so thorough... looking anxiously forward to the build. (Apparently you are a Doctor of Bikeology !)
Fantastic video just what i was looking for. Just bought a marin frame and zero and i mean zero experience building bikes or even buying the parts required. This video has helped no end.
I am building my own bike and this video has really helped me to understand the smaller working parts and getting the right sizes for my bike!👍🏼
This video rocks. I’ve watched a few build videos and this by a landslide has more information and talks about the variations I wanted to know about. Great video!
Mate, my mind just blew up so much information.
Thanks for the video!
So we’ll explained I’ve been looking for a video like this for ages
Well done 100%
Thanks, loads of valuable information!, not just for people that are building fresh, but also for this wanting to replace parts. Some measurements / specs to watch out for are easily overlooked!
Thanks for the clear and concise explanation for all the bike parts and how they all fit together . The bike build seems much easier after watching you video . Looking forward to watching the build. Thanks again.
This is a great video! I picked up a late 1990s Canondale F400 and I am excited to tear it down, clean, paint, lube and put back together. I am currently trying to educate myself on the Fatty front suspension that appears to need rebuilding or replacement. This bicycle will be a light trail/gravel bike and I’m excited. Thank you for your content.
As with all your videos, well done! The advantage to building your own bike-you get exactly what you want. Years ago I built up a steel-frame, Haro 29er hardtail w/X9 components, Avid BB7 mechanical discs and a Tora fork. A little more expensive than buying a bike off the rack, but for me, the bike is perfect. 6 years of riding, and I never regret it.
The best instructor ever!!! Thanks, man!!
Information in this video is so valuable for people who never build a bike, thanks big time.
Excellent video! I'm preparing for my first build, and this helped me understand how to match parts. Thank you for making such a clear and informative video.
this is very better than dream build with music! you learn so much after watching this video. thanks to SickBiker
Finally I see Exotic components... I've used them for years, and they are great at great prices, but It still seems like an "underground" brand.
Also they have a brake pad store, with great value/quality.
you are the BEST!!!! thank you! i can now fix or disassemble my back instead of being bothered that i dont know anything about my bike
Man this channel is so good! Great real no BS bike advice :)
This is an investment that requires a lot of dedication and determination and if course patience.
I build my first bike as a 12-years old, a cheap Chinese 10-speed with 24" wheels, with the help of my dad. Since then I have always done my own servicing, except for wheel truing, an art I'm beginning to learn. There's nothing like the feel of riding a bike you have built yourself!
This is an awesome vid! esp
For beginners like me who needs to learn lots about bikes now that ive been
Mountain biking
Regularly. Thanks for this awesome video! I wish i could hit likes multiple times for this 1. Keep up the great vid!
Thank you so much for this tutorial! Your videos make this seem much more approachable 😊
Seems like ill continue dreaming about having a bike
Wow that was VERY comprehensive. Also you presented very well, i feel like im in good hands.
Damn...this is the one that I've been looking for. Very very good video. Thank you so much!
thank you very much! I was kinda scared and excited in building my own bike thnx for the guide
Love this channel. Your MTB knowledge is exceptional!
I built a drop bar 29'er out of a Scott P6 commuter and some old left over road bike parts. It was an interesting learning experience and a helluva lotta fun to ride.
Thanks for all the information to start building my next bike. ... .
Greatly appreciated this. And with imperial units!
This is great content! Thank you! I bought a late 90s Canondale as a project bike. I’ve bought some reasonably priced tools and getting ready for the project. Also want to build a clunker. This content is super helpful! Thank you!
1:02 yep collecting. Finding bike wrecks in the streets of London and looking at the parts that are left on the frame.
I'm glad I watched this video. I was planning on stripping my bike down and giving it a good makeover. It looks like it has been dumped. It's a used bike and it was on eBay really cheap. Now I know what to do first and that's measure it.
Thanks for this video 👍. Very clear explanation
So much useful info, a lot of patience and love for cycling!!! Great video!!! Thanks a lot!!! Looking forward to see the work on the bike. : )
The video has a lot of great content. It answered a lot of questions, even for upgrades to an extg bike. Looking forward to t he restored final product
Thanks for the great tutorial. You have a great channel. Very helpfull.
Most helpful video I’ve watched!
Lengthy, but worthy. Thanks for explaining everything!
Thank you for this video.. yes I will build one!
amazingly explained almost everything, thank you for sharing
Most informative video seen so far.
Absolutely brilliant. I built a rim brake bike last year, but fortunately it already came with the right bearings and standard sizes elsewhere, but this is a timely reminder of how quickly you can haemorrhage money when you buy the wrong bits.
This is awesome! Thank you!
Super buen tutorial, me haz aclarado un montón de dudas, Gracias
Wow what a beautiful video! Will you be doing one on the full build process? Thanks, your videos are awesome!
Awesome explanation, thank
Thank You for this excellent instructional video 🤘🏼
well done! that was very informative thank you
Ive been looking for a video like this for so long thank you!!!!
Sickbiker is saving lives with this amazing content. Please do an ultegra/105/dura ace mechanical road bike build if you can. Any of the groupsets
Thank you! Very helpful!
Super tutorial!!! big thanks
thanks for this - great info - I have Norco frame and my son wants to assemble his next bike so this is a great way to get some tips as he is gung-ho to proceed but I want to him to avoid some of the trail and error that may cause him to lose interest.
THIS IS THE BEST CHANNEL OF CZcams!!!!!!!
Have been subscribing for you for a long time
Incredibly helpful! Just the video I needed to help me with the confusing process of picking out the correct parts for my bike. Also he is right about making your bike from scratch being fun.
Fresh cut, Very nice
That's awesome! It's the video version of how to build a bike for the dummies .👍 I shall call you sir !
Huge fan from portugal big fan of Kona great channel.
True knowledge to be collected.
Thank you so much for sharing this informative content keep it up brother.
fun stuff - I have a similar build with a Giant ATX 1x11 and an Exotic rigid 3k carbon fork - love it.
My progress is great!
Excellent video!!!
This is awesome, thank you for this video.
Thank you for making this video! I just finished buying all the parts to build a Surly Cross Check and this was very helpful.
Lovely work!!
Just bought a frame and parts waiting for delivery can’t wait to get started
really useful video, thanks a lot !!!!
Thank you so much for this video.
After spending too much time on YT in a comfortable chair, now I wouldn't consider a bike building is "from scratch" if not starts from cutting the tubes for the frame : )
I learn more things in this video
thanks you bro
I really like how passionate you are about this.
This is an excellent video. I’m going to build my wife a bike soon, and the biggest thing that I have trouble with with spike work is finding the right parts.
Excellent community project based off this video, kids putting a little money, or sponsorship/ work programs for broke kids, for parts and a few tools, building themselves their own bike Which would then give them transportation, some accomplishment, and also 3/4 of the way to be able to maintain it as they built it. They would have a good reliable transportation with means of maintaining.
Thanks, such a great video
Very Informative
yea thx m8. gr8 video
Very Nice video! Do you have a video on how to built a full suspension mtb, and also which parts do you need to assemble first? Thank you
Really handy.
You can build a bike yourself - BUT don't make mistake and make a dangerous machine! Sickbiker if you could make a video on common mistakes in bike building - overtorque
ing parts, how to install a steerer plug, for example Love your vid though!
building a bike is sooooo much fun!!
jaakko200987654321 I used to agree but now that I do it every day I sometimes feel like killing myself
Great video. Thank you.
I bought a 'spares or repair' bike online; transferred all of the parts on to a second hand aluminum frame and bought remaining parts online. The bike cost me less than £80 but it's worth double what I spent.
great video.
Great video
can you do a step by step guide like this for a roadie
Thumbs up. So interesting.
This is awesome Danny, I completed my Explosif build this winter and have taken it out a few times! Wow, steel is amazing. Reynolds tubing and 140mm of travel is just 👍 love my Kona! #hardtails4lyfe
Those part prices tho. Got me cryinnnn
great content and review
also a tip for choosing the right seat: go to your local bike shop and try various seats
