That's not really how locksmiths work. If he can't get it open conventionally he'll have to resort to destroying the lock to get in, and then someone can't keep locking it. It's a cool idea on paper tho.

I can get my full thoughts out, as long as I want, and take as long as I want to do it as well, and people see, acknowledge and interact with me. Can't do any pranks that effect a person's freedom, safety, or protection of property. Like locking the Smith out of their own car while they're busy with what they were called for. It seems simple and harmless enough, but it's a serious offense. It separates them from their property, and holds them against their will. It's just not wise or nice to mess with people or their shit like that. Plus people are crazy. Locking them in a room would probably make them think they're about to be in saw: Florida man edition.
One of them can act like a locksmith locked in a room and have a real locksmith come. Or one of them pretend to be a locksmith that calls a real locksmith to open something. Then have the customer be very grateful to the fake locksmith and give him a huge tip/reward while ignoring the "helper".
