"Easy"? of course if you already have an organized tattoos map and a UV map (main texture) with seperated body parts. If anyone else has their main texture mixed or without borderlines, it will take a while to figure out how the texture works on the avatar.
What if the body texture is completely blacked out and not see through to put on the body?
how do i put on just single tattoos like a logo or something instead of a full body tattoo??
Can you make a tutorial, on how to add hand gestures, emotes and facial expressions.
My avatar doesn't have a matcap to put a texture on the tats, the only thing it does is make them glow, is there a way to fix that.

Yeah, I kinda wanna learn how to do that too change the hairs or put clothing on a avatat but I have faith she will eventually upload something we are getting there.
Can you do a tutorial for material (colour, metal change etc). Ex I have my huntress when I go to drag the material onto her it does not the property in game it’s like locked with the original material. I even tried clicking on her “panties” in hierarchy and changing the “ element “ in inspector and in game it does not change

another editing software thats good is krita you can also use it for emission maps its free too! and i find it easier than gimp
as you can see on the texture of the body. there is this type of specific area where the model takes the texture from.
Is there a way in unity to extract the area where the texture is being taken,
because the texture for my body is completely filled, and I can't see where the texture for the body ends.

My model uses a texture.
But only a specific area of that texture.
Like your texture for the body looks weird.
Mine is just a flat plane of color.
How do i get the information on what area of the texture is used by the model
Edit: just learned its called a "uv map". Is there a way to find out the uv map of my model

Im personally at this rate not gunna make anything regarding quest things, since it isn't something im knowledgeable at.

How do you make the skin not clip through the clothing? Ive always had that problem... Especially with small shirts :(

I don't do quest avis or anything related to quest, but if you're able to set the textures to 4k Resolution I recommend doing that

YOU'VE SAVED ME FROM MY AGONY lol. I was wondering if there was a way to reduce the size of an avatar from 20mb to 10mb for quest?
Theres multiple ways to reduce an avi size, changing pngs to jpgs, reduce the amount of bones in an avi, the amount of polygons, which requires blender work. Etc.
@@dwuckiesvr converting png to jpg works for sending files on discord. Not a good idea for the good copy of your textures.
From what I've seen for avatars the textures get processed to texture formats, for each texture in the unity editor you can tell the program to "crunch" textures.
so when i apply the normal map and fix it, it doesnt have the 3d effect
Make sure you bring up the slider, and make sure the normal map is for the correct thing etc. Some normal maps don't work properly if they're not a DirectX Normal map, if thats the case I recommend reaching out the creator of whatever you had purchased :))

Sorry I feel as though that tutorial is very specific. Although I do have a tutorial on how to edit facial textures in gimp, that might be able to help what you are trying to do

You will need to take the main texture for the skin, and either replace it with another one, or take the existing one and edit it in a photo editing software
