It's that awesome early 90s green color, it's the SHO, it's a stick, he's kept it over 30 years now. And people forget that when the Taurus launched it was a really good car that pretty much saved Ford. Legend in its day, legend today; legen-(wait for it)-dary 😎

Conan has a great taste in cars, I had Ford Mondeo from 1996 (made in the same year as me) it had been standing out in the elements for quite some time and so developed kind of a rust issue that i spent a fortune to fix but eventually i moved, didn't have a room for a car and couldn't afford to have it shipped like Conan. But all the internal parts worked perfectly from engine to stick shift, ladies had similar reactions to it, but god i loved that car. These 90s Fords were so durable and idiotproof it's amazing.

A 92 Ford Taurus SHO is actually a really cool car. It's a Taurus that's just a bit faster than the regular one, and it has the stock shift which is always fun! Conan may just be a secret car enthusiast, as that's definitely an enthusiasts choice!

I believe, if my assumptions are correct, the 1992 version of Conan could have successfully thrown a tennis ball the distance proposed. If Conan lived in the Wetherly Hills Apartments and was throwing the ball from the front corner of the apartment property nearest to the hotel towards the nearest corner of the Four Seasons property, he could have made the throw. It is only about 50 yards. It might have been harder for him to have hit the building itself, as it is slightly farther, but it still could have been possible. Conan's height suggests his arm length could have functioned as a sort of atlatl, a throwing aid providing leverage and creating greater power and velocity for the throw, although this assumption is somewhat questionable, as Conan appears to be mostly legs and his actual arm length is unknown.
Hitting the Four Seasons with a tennis ball in 1990s Los Angeles, however, even for a writer on the Simpsons, would have likely been a chargable or beatable offense, especially if the tennis ball caused damage to the property or endangered or a guest or employee. Certainly the Four Seasons would have trespassed Conan for such an offense, making it impossible for him to host his mother at the Four Seasons brunch, unless he adopted a disguise to do so, in which case, if caught doing so, he could have risked further charges.
The Fox Network would have been unlikely to have provided legal assistance on any of these charges, even though Conan had not yet attempted to "jump ship" and head off on his own course, as they were, at the time, extremely parsimonious to a Scroogelike degree. Conan's mother, of course, was a lawyer herself, but she may well have declined to represent her son for personal, legal, or religious reasons, or because she did not want to involve herself in her son's misdeeds.

So, I just looked it up. An average writer on The Simpsons makes $250k per year. And according to one former writer; more senior-level writers can make up to $1M per year. Ummm, why did I think they were all making like $25k and living off Uncrustables?! Am I the only one who thought that??
I'm sure back in the 80s it was far less, not just accounting for inflation, but also just thinking about the fact that The Simpsons wasn't the network juggernaut that it eventually became.
