- In this video, we examine the enduring issue of the impact of industrialization. Watch as a document is analyzed on the impacts of the Industrial Revolution in Britain and how these impacts have either changed or continued over time.
In developed nations such as those in Western Europe and the United States, negative impacts such as industrial pollution, poor working conditions, and child labor have been dealt with, at least to some extent. However, in developing nations, these impacts can still felt. An example discussed here that proves this is working conditions in textile factories in Bangladesh. In 2013, the Rana Plaza building collapsed, causing harm to thousands of people.
