Every time my kids throw a tantrum my wife and I sang the final meltdown to them..just the chorus mind you.. so was funny to see someone else come up with that.

💯 Right there w/ ya. Not necessarily in thinking it would be entirely over in Sept but definitely thinking we’d be in a better place than the current rapidly accelerating - & honestly quite terrifying - disaster. I was doing (relatively) well for quite awhile but the last month has been rough.

That is some of the finest recorder playing ever! I truly believe the recorder is the hardest instrument to master because it wasn't made to actually carry a tune but to drive parents insane from the squealing, screeching, practice sessions!
I am still waiting for someone to do a parody of the song "Danger Zone" from Top Gun to describe going grocery shopping (or just leaving house in general).

Trying to keep sane. So many worries. Find with my free time I just want to check out or sleep. So I’m limiting screen time to 30-45 min. a day or less including news. Want less than 15 min of news - but want to stay informed. Otherwise, screen time is a Holderness vid and some good online therapist channels to stay productive and not sink into the gloom. 🙁😭 Trying to maintain mental health esp. now - keeping a schedule, exercising daily, and feeding my brain positive stuff and doing productive things to uplift/ build/sustain vs. drain, etc. Have and work toward goals. And remind myself that getting worse is automatic and takes no effort - it takes effort just to maintain things, much less improve. Aack - Got confessional and preachy here. ☹️ Just worried and wishing the best. Thanks Holdernesses for upping our spirits and the awesome effort and hard work! 😁❤️💕

What are some good online therapist channels?
JW424 : oops. I shouldn’t have written anything! ☹️😭. I’m definitely no mental health professional, also, what helps one person (me) can be very specific and isn’t necessarily helpful to others. ☹️ All I can share are a few things I find helpful for me. And they’re not necessarily “online therapist” sources as more life coaches with online content and philosophy sites.
- But there are actual online and by-phone therapy services. I’ve heard Headspace is a good one.
I wish I could make this a shorter process but look up some of these and scan their video titles for things that resonate.
I made my own playlists of the most useful videos for me over a long illness a few years ago. But just finding a few videos of interest to you and saving playlists of the good ones is a start - just picking a few clips a day, and taking notes and reviewing them until they’re learned and practiced is a pretty simple and not too time consuming way to use these.
I like the CZcams content on these sources and blogs (- also, reading their blogs can be faster / more efficient than watching their clips or vids):
- Mel Robbins (she has good short - and longer - daily clips on staying positive and productive during the pandemic right now)

Oh dear...itś 2 a.m., I have a very large pile of pistachio shells and an open bag of chocolate chips nearby having just finished my online teaching plans for tomorrow. And Iḿ grateful for being able to catch a quick laugh and some solidarity before I head to bed...totally can relate to too much tv and video games and online stuff with the 3 kids at home. We are fortunate to be healthy, safe, and grateful, but can sometimes go a little nuts. Thanks for helping keep us sane and laughing when needed.

Update: Upon further song and soul searching, I think it might be in poor taste to do a parody on testing negative as there are a lot of people who are/were not so lucky.
