    Shatter as capt Kirk gave employment to a lot of people. He carried them on his back. Nimoy was a second banana. The rest of the cast were a bunch of low talent actors with no star quality. They were lucky to get paid. Shatter has extreme talent as an actor. He can do any part

      It's not like the roles of Sulu, Chekov, Uhura or even Scotty's required that much talent to begin with, given how little screen time they got in comparison to Shatner or Nimoy. They were good actors but they didn't really do anything phenomenal.

  • @fityou12

    I guarantee if it weren’t for Leonard Nimoy, today when someone said the name William Shatner, 99.9% of the responses would be, “who”? Shatner is famous ONLY because of Star Trek TOS, and TOS became a huge cultural phenomenon MAINLY because of Leonard Nimoy, followed closely by Gene Roddenberry, Nichelle Nichols, DeForest Kelley, George Takei, Walter Koenig, and James Doohan. I’ve known many many original Trekkies. The TOS fans who started the fan clubs, conventions, and made the Star Trek phenomenon happen were BY FAR fans of Leonard Nimoy, Gene Roddenberry, and the crew subordinates. Most actually thought Shatner was a lousy actor, and many loathed him (just as the actual cast members did). In the early years following TOS, Shatner even repeatedly ridiculed and insulted Trek fans and conventioneers.

    • @Elphaba1952
      @Elphaba1952 Před 4 lety +1

      Have you ever looked at William Shatner's body of work... it almost parallels Leonard Nimoy's… except that Shatner had far more major roles prior to Star Trek and post-Star Trek. Nimoy's career was catapulted by Spock...that's it.

    • @fityou12
      @fityou12 Před 4 lety +5

      @@Elphaba1952 -Absolutely Nimoy’s career was catapulted by the character of Mr. Spock, a character created by Roddenberry. But I can tell you that Nimoy and Roddenberry were far more responsible for the phenomenal Star Trek fame and following than Shatner was. And that phenomenon is what made Shatner a household name, not anything he did non-Star Trek.

    • @Elphaba1952
      @Elphaba1952 Před 4 lety +3

      @@fityou12 the fans catapulted Nimoy to fame because the Spock character was so different..no one saw that coming. Star Trek was cancelled after the first season...fans brought it back.

      @fityou12 Před 4 lety +4

      @@Elphaba1952 -Right. Fans wanted Spock and Roddenberry’s show back. Those fans went on to create one of the most dedicated fan phenomena in entertainment history (likened to beatlemania), growing to 35 million weekly Star Trek watchers in the 1990s. In fact it was originally called ‘Spockanalia’. Guaranteed, if none of that had happened Shatner would today be a crusty unknown somewhere in a rest home drooling on himself (but just as obnoxious and conceited).

    • @jimw328
      @jimw328 Před 4 lety +2

      your kidding right? while I might agree that in Star Trek, Spock was more popular at the time. TOS ran three years, both actors had wonderful careers after TOS. Shatner will always be known most for playing Captain Kirk, he owes only himself for his success. He's has many TV series after TOS. So no one is buying your assertion that he owes his success to Leanard Nimoy. Shatner is not given enough credit for his acting abilities. He is parodied over and over. But he is a hard working actor and not afraid to try anything. We know Shatner was not kind, unaware of how he treated his fellow actors in TOS, I grew up with TOS and attended many grass roots conventions and I never will use the word loathing to describe fans feelings toward Shatner. He's definitely not well liked and perhaps that has colored your assessment of his life and and career.

That means she wasn’t strangled, she wasn’t injected with anything, she wasn’t held underwater, etc. Bill had a perfectly legitimate alibi and was completely exonerated of any suspicion. Maybe you should do the research before you start accusing him of murder.
