Great Videos... It seems your builds are all ultimately for XC use?. I noticed there was no mention of compression ratio and cam stage option? Do you simply go for stock compression and cam on your rebuilds or do you upgrade? I guess I'm wondering what you've found to be best for XC racing regarding compression and cam option?
Yes this is for an xc build. If you watch my build from 2020/2021 i go into more detail on the engine setups. My current set up is 13:5 h/c piston/web cam/plus 1 valves/bored throttle body/vortex/full exhaust/fci. All my head work is done by BNR motorsports along w vortex mapping.
Noticed you didn't check the ring gap, is it pretty spot on with these Cylinder Works kits? Just wondering great video.
Yes with these kits the cylinder is matched to the piston and all the specs are checked its ready to bolt up! Ive been using their kits now for years and never had an issue w clearances!

How do you break in your engines after a fresh rebuild?
I usually do a few heat cycles then 1st ride out i will go easy for the 1st hour and try and stay off the rev limiter after that i ride it as i would any time out then change the oil after the 1st ride as well!

Love your videos, I’m selling my banshee and looking for a 2014-2017 YfZ 450r. Question for you, how come you don’t ever torque anything to spec? Also what compression piston kit is that and what gas do you run? My YfZ will only be 4-5 rides a ye around MN where I live otherwise a couple trips to the dunes every year so I would like to run a vortex ECU and a 14.1 vertex piston and just run straight VP 110. Is that okay to do? I would be running a fmf full exhaust /vortex ecu/ a high flow intake/stock head/. Thanks for any info I really appreciate how clear your videos are on what your doing etc.. thanks again.
Certain things i torque and some i kind of do w my impact gun w some custom settings I’ve yet to have a failure or anything break! I run the vertex,cyclinder works kits i run there 13.5 HC kit and i run t4 fuel! Keep im mind w a 14.2 piston you will have to change that setup more often to keep reliability! Thanks man!
if you would, how much would you charge someone if they shipped their engine and all parts to you for a rebuild?
Ive done a bunch for friends in the past depending on the depth of the build 400-550.00
At 14:27 what is that piece called? I have a 2009 YFZ450R. How do I make sure I didn’t put it in backwards? Thanks in advance.
Best thing to do is grab a manual for reference! I had to go back and look to be sure!

What tool for the clutch arm bearing install?
So that is just a bearing install kit i got from harbor freight its a nice kit for sure and like 20 bucks i think!
@@ononewheel7 I found a set on Ebay just like it. For some reason Harbor freight stopped selling the one you have. Thats a shame. The tusk blind bearing set is my all time fav for trans and wheel bearings.
