Too Much Equipment & Not Enough Storage - Welker Farms Inc

- Spent the day putting away as much equipment as we can inside the little storage we have left. The Big Bud's, Big Brute, and Case 8230's will have to sit outside until we market enough grain to clean out the main shed. Constructing more storage for grain and equipment is on our list of things to do in the coming years.

I love how all Cummins cold starts are the same, they don’t sound really any different from each other
It’s great to see that you guys get to work with your father on the family farm, Brute coughs and snorts when he starts😊
Look forward to seeing what is hiding back there in the small storage shed guys, love seeing the different buildings on the property.
LOL, I envisioned Legarms dragging the wave runner out manually with no trailer. 🤣 As for the special shout out, all the best to that family.
😂
I was hoping to see the same thing :)
Nice Harvester Nick! Wonderful combine! Thanks for sharing!
Have a wonderful weekend!
Can’t wait to see the new combines in action! Great video! Keep up the good work
U must be very proud of the hard work as it is paying back the time vested... God bless
I like how you could just show whatever you want, but you respect other peoples wishes. It a fleeting characteristic now days.
I hope you guys get some big storage in the future for those nice machinery and the legendary buds.
Hey thanks Boer! Sometime crop prices will turn around and hopefully we'll have a good harvest to take advantage of it. But we are thankful we have what we have.
That ladder on the back, to fill the combine. Is slicker than a pocket on a shirt 👕.
Great vid as usual, wish was there and also love the new combines love the red.🔥👌also hope Gary gets better soon. I’ll be praying for him 🙏
We also am praying for Gary. Thanks for following us, we're honored.
Big Brute is awesome! Love the big tractors you guys have. Great video again sir.
Those combines are gorgeous! 😮
Everthing in the correct place and every Job at correct time...!! We like watching..!! Greece
Welcome Greece! Appreciate that you enjoy our little place in the sun ☀
Great video thanks for sharing have a great day and God bless
You guys need a BIG storage building like "Millenial Farmer" has. Also...your Music choices are always epic.
We would love his storage! And thanks, I spend a lot of time picking music.
Watching from the frigid north slope oil field of Alaska. Can't wait to get back to Great Falls next week!!!👍👍👍👍👍
I have a similar problem,to many tractors,so two of them stay in the elements, the three building I have( not as big as yours) still isn’t enough room. I don’t deal with snow, but rain is always heavy during summer months. I believe,so we will survive.
Thank you for sharing your amazing story. God bless you and your family
Appreciate the blessing. And His blessings to you!
Thanks for the video
That is some nice Case equipment and you all must take real good care of it too. That is nice that you all turn the batteries off on the equipment so they will start when you all are ready for the new season and don't have to fully charge them. I like the supply building you all have the spare parts in so you can get to them quickly when you need them.
I think it would be a lot of fun to work on a farm, could honestly say that you are making a difference in the world for the better. And of course you would need to be a fan of manual labor. Military did that for me.
Thanks for the new video!
The winter shop rebuilds on time lapse are great to watch. That old semi will soon be a beauty. Great channel and may you double this year. Thankyou for the uploads and long hours.
Thanks much Ed. Your support help build this channel.
Excellent video! Pretty slick header system 👍🏽
Prayers for Gary🙏..✌God bless everyone and stay safe 🚜🇺🇸🚜
Thanks much. Agree with you prayers. Blessing for the new year!
Thanks for the Video 👍🏻 it was a nice video to see 😀
You will be glad you got the 13 speed. I had a 9 speed for one year. Got ride of it and bought a truck with 13 speed. You will more torque pulling out a field.
Keep up the great videos Nick!
Bing watching, can't get enough. Welker farms, Yeahee Yeahee!
New subscriber here..enjoying all your videos Nick! Great stuff!
Nice cold start awesome!
good job Nick! Love the videos!
Best thing about recently replacing my older older Powerstroke with a 6.2 gas motor, no more cold start worries!
Great video keep up the good work guys
Great video Nick
Great to see you guys again
Appreciate that, more of the boy's coming up
The equipment looks very well taken care of. It's always worth taking the extra time to do your due diligence and find the best thing for your money!! Can't wait to see it running in the field!
Us also. Thanks for watching👍
Great video. Definitely time for equipment sheds. Sure they will come in time. The cold weather start on the Cummins was saying , I'M A BIG BOY. :) I think you will appreciate the 13 speed ,Looking forward to updates.
Thanks much Dean👍
thank you
Awesome show and tell. Good to see you found a 13 spd for the International. Looking forward to updates on the truck. A pole barn would be super to allow your equipment to be uncover. You should to have a motor pool manager just to keep batteries, fueled, oil changes etc so the equipment is ready. One Kansas farmer has a large enough barn so when equipment comes in out of the field it is cleaned, greased, fueled and put away in the barn ready for when ever it's needed again. Needless to say it's a big job however, having equipment sitting out in the weather is costly as well. God Bless.
We usually have most of the equipment ready for off season but have been very busy with other priorities....thus you see it as it is. Thanks for following and His Blessings in this new year.
love the startup on the BRUTE
Great video keep up the good work
Very nice combines
Sweet cold start
Great video!
Those combines even used were outrageously expensive. For 40-50 thousand dollars , build another metal building. Its worth the investment. Winters there are too hard on equipment sitting outside being devastated by the freezing temps. Take care guys.
This is the first year that building wasn't available.
I mean all the equipment at a dealership is stored outside.
@@HazardGaming107 not really
Sometimes the money just isn't there. They gotta look at finances to see when they can. Maybe they will have a great harvest one year and be able to afford it
All the best to the Walker family
I love the beat in the background at 8:48
Picking songs is never easy as some will love and some will hate so my goal is to try and find the ones that everyone loves! Thanks
Great video
Enjoyed the video! 👍👍
Out west is very cool country. I lived in western central SD for a few years. Never made it to Montana, but I sure loved the Dakotas.
Have relatives down in the southern SD. Great people and love that area.
Prayers for Gary!
Second. Thanks!
Wishing Gary speedy recovery! I didn't know that those heads had their own built in header cart. I learned something today.
Yes, works great for storing them
I'm champing at the bit man let's turn some wrenches ... LOL love to see that eagle go down the road ✌
Us too!
amazing keep it up
Spotted that deutz right away lol nice little 2 cyl great videos
You need a video discussing how the farm started, how the acres increased, the types of tractors and combines you’ve used over the years.
Love the good vibes you guys bring every time(10/10 editing imo)
Well Nick is great at seeing the finish product before editing. Thanks for viewing
Thank you Welker family @@RobertWelkerFarmerBob
Now that was a beautiful cold start. Very nice tribute at the end.
It's fun to see engines working hard to come to life. 😁
You guys need a battery jumper on your truck. I used to take a small charger all over the farm to keep all the batteries fresh and charged. I was very lucky to take a course in High School Ag Class on battery maintenance and how to rebuild and restore batteries.
Great job maneuvering that skid-steer to park the Combine Headers in the shed with so little room. That is tough to do and you guys make it look so easy. Looking forward to what you have in store for videos in 2019.
You notice it was Scott maneuvering them. My job is to give a thumbs up when finished 😁
Busy is good,Thx.
I love your channel when you making a part 9 of a restoration of the big bud
put tarps over the tires - protecting the tires from UV and wind will extend their life.
Thanks for the advice👍
I would've never guessed that was an old building with the new tin. Y'all do a great job organizing and keeping your stuff in good shape 👍
Wish we would have had better vids on the process of moving. It was epic.
I hear you about storage space. I have too much equipment sitting outside. All my extra $ goes to grain bins it seems. Unbelievable you have no snow! We are clearing snow every time i haul grain.
Last year it wouldn't quit. It is nice though to not fight the snow.
If / When you decide to put up a building you should contact Kyle Stumpenhorst. He is a CZcamsr as well and builds some amazing pole barns. Would be a great video series for both!
Another awsome video Nick just love them so much new combines looks good can't wait to see them in action this year.
Your a true gentleman thinking of others 🎖️.
The boys have big hearts for others. And it's genuine
@@RobertWelkerFarmerBob You so lucky to have them sir bought them up well . It's a honour to watch what they do and I'm lucky to see it to.
I worked at Case iH plant in Grand Island Nebraska where your bad boys were built. Built the unloading auger . Wondering if you guys ever toured the plant. Love your videos. Take care
Awesome
Nick you will never have enough room for storage of your equipment as nowadays it keeps getting bigger and better, I suggest as a non expensive option of you guys putting up a big hoop building, we had one for livestock and it is awesome standing inside and looking out during a blizzard and its nice inside and we have alot of windy weather here in Nw Iowa said your nice equipment is sitting outside.
I can relate , I'm going on my fifth shipping container. the big shop building is getting to filled up with supplies . Pretty tough to make repairs while tripping over oil pallets and other farm supplies .
Wish we could move one of the, Kmart or sears buildings here.
@@RobertWelkerFarmerBob I agree , it would be nice to see everything under cover.
Awesome channel
Very beautiful land hope y’all build a bigger shop
Thanks 👍
Really in joyed the vid prayers for Gary
I'm sure he appreciates them. Thanks
need to get ahold of RR Buildings! do a collab!
Decent size fuel tank you got there! How much fuel do you guys burn through pr year?
Super nice video
You guys have definitely came a long ways in the last 6 years!
We sure have, it amazes me honestly. So much has changed.
I have a 150'X300' Morton building with living quarters that I keep my 45' Motorcoach and 24' stacker trailer along with my toys in it. I have plenty of room for your combines if you want to drive them to southwest Ohio to keep them out of the weather. Just let me know when your heading this way, I'm located in Hunter Ohio between Dayton and Cincinnati Ohio. Just off interstate 75. Keep up the great videos and God bless.
We should get a couple of corn headers, shell corn on the way down to you in the fall, then cut wheat back up as we get closer to our harvest. Great suggestion👍. Thanks for watching and Blessings.
You should always keep the tanks full especially when being parked so moisture does not accumulate during its stay. Some fuel conditioner wouldn't hurt either so it doesn't fell during the cold winter months.
Looking forward to more video on the Eagle.
This is a awesome video and yall is a good people on welker farm
We are humbled to have so many of you following us. Blessings
3:14 do I see a vintage dirt bike lol
12:27 those Honda 3 wheelers are the bomb
A strange thing about starting cables, is that they always get tangled up to something similar to a fishing net.
I love the big buds, true legends
We agree. And they will be working legends for decades to come 👍
@@RobertWelkerFarmerBob glad you got your channel back 😀
Dont know how I didnt find this channel earlier. Awesome vids man do a video on that Cummins swapped ford
Love your vids they are great 10:09 gra gaga ga gagaga
Thanks for the video. You guys are so lucky to wake up every morning to The View. Everyday must be one of those days you just say how did I get here. People don't realize parts of the country how different they are. There's never a time where we could take a combine down our road with a head on it like that in our area. Hope you guys have a great day keep up the good work
We do realize how much freedom and vast skies we enjoy. And most days we look forward to the new adventure God lays out for us.
Don’t let this guy fool you he hates generation farmers. I have 10 photos of him saying he hates other farmers or generation farmers.
Once upon a time, My wife and I lived two doors down from Don Greytek, Havre MT.
He is the Charlie russell of the hi-line.
Not a farmer, but I have been enjoying your videos, and leg arms' nickname is hilarious
Bet you cannot wait to use the new red paint in the summer.
As always another great video
I'm so ready, going to be awesome!
Yeah yeah. You guys just wanted an excuse to drive the new combines. I would too. I love that old building. Excellent video today. I'm looking forward to the winter shop videos.
Haha caught us! Thanks
great job on the 360 video well done!!!! (might have made a few people sea sick watching though) lol loved that part myself!!!!! love montana sunsets!!
Thanks for Nick. Sunrises and Sunsets are great.
hey look up the metal a frame trusses for pole barns that's about the cheapest route and they give you a clear span up to 50 ft and I'm sure they do bigger no post except on your walls
Really enjoy your you tube videos. Excited to see your new combines. Conrad and Brady Montana will always be my home, even thou I live in Washington State now. I went to high school with a salesman from Torgersons named McCracken. You might of know him!
I remember him. I'm sure you miss the vast rolling farm land but not the fast moving air 😁
Another cool video,as always. Can't beat a cold start on a Cummins.
Cummins can be grumpy but the Brute has a cat.
You guys are good people. Im sure u know but i had to say it.
We appreciate much your affirmation and am humbled. We are accountable to the Creator how we live our lives and love our fellow man. Blessings to you.
we built 2 100ft open sheds they work great
