I took the agitator off the spreader and found some cheap tooth brushes cut the heads off and superglued them to the underside of the agitator. Works perfectly. You can cut the bristles to length if needed.
I took a piece of tubing from harbor freight fluid extractor. Flattened it in a vice. Slid over agitator. Put a piece of 5/8 garden hose over that. Fit's snug. No glue and no drilling.

@@KD58995 I’m not too sure it’s going to work out Wes. I have had a chance to apply about 6lbs of Flagship and definitely noticed a little resistance against the agitator. Not to mention the lack of spacing around the agitator shoots the fert all over the place once it gets down to a lower level. I’ll be doing a follow up to the vid soon, just been nuts with work, etc.

i did this and now my spreader bogs down, i actaully broke something the gear box. 300 bucks down the drain
@@Jasshands1 apologies for the ill advice. I too ran into some resistance and ended up removing the mod.

How long was the pipes when you attach them?
Can you link to the product that you purchased for the modification?
Will do, just want to take it for a spin with a larger application like Milorganite & see how it does.

It’s just PEX pipe and spray foam. But I honestly wouldn’t bother. It sucks and really bogs down the agitator. I ended up removing it.

I’m planning on applying some Flagship this weekend with it, true test will come in a couple weeks when I apply some Milorganite. I’ll keep you posted
