Not only here in SF, but literally everywhere he's ever coached, he has helped lead those teams out from the depths of football hell, and into the light..
He (and Lynch) took a franchise that was in the gutter, completely rebuilt it, and had them back in the SB in 3 seasons.. I just can't wait for him to finally win a SB, and shut all of his doubters up.

Thank you for making a video that shows Kyle Shanahan in the proper respect. Especially after this season's loss in the SB, he has been facing some extremely unfair scrutiny. That's not to say that he doesn't deserve any criticism - he is only human after all. But this video demonstrates, point for point, just how brilliant of a football-mind Kyle Shanahan truly is.. And you'd have to be a straight up hater to challenge that notion after watching this video.

Purdy just solidified Shanahan's position as the 49ers head coach. He made up for the ill-advised trade to acquire Trey Lance. Trey Lance has potential to be a super star, but that is at least two seasons away.
Yeah Trey has alot of potential. He reminds me of Kap because Kap had a ton of potential but couldn't improve or adapt at making his reads. As of now Purdy is far ahead of Trey and I would assume he will only get better as time goes on. I would like to see Trey be our backup to Purdy but I think he has 2 years left on his contract. Unless Purdy just struggles or gets exposed and can't adapt he looks like our franchise QB but we will have to see how the next 2 games and especially the playoffs pan out. Its crazy cause I was never for Trey and everything we gave up for him and always said it was a mistake to put a rookie/raw QB in charge of a team that's built to win now but Purdy has played so well and doesnt play like a rookie. I really hope Purdy can bring home #6.

The reason Kyle puts more Assets on defense is because Bill Walsh taught that very same notion that you put all of the Super Stars on defense. When you look at some QBs they'll light up an above average defense no problem but completely disappear when they face an Elite defense.
Here now as the Niners are about to battle for the #1 seed in 2022. Shanahan in 5 years has had 1 Super Bowl appearance which we should have won, if we beat the Rams last year I think we easily beat the Bengals and this year we are a SB favorite. 5 years and 3 super bowl teams. With massive injuries last year and 3 different QBs this year. Genius

Juice is so much more than a full back. he played TE in college and really is a TE who lines up in the backfield. Honestly, he doesn't get enough runs and catches for how talented he is.
During the 2022-2023 season Kyle learned how to in-game adjust.
Before he'd rescramble his playays at half-time.
Remember the three HUGE meltdowns> 2 in the Super Bowl and one in the NFC Champs?
He was outscored 55-0 in those three games, losing them ALL.
he's learned that you allow teams to stay in it by calling conservatively. The NFL has changed to a quick score league to do that in 2023.
Though it's been easier to "keep the pedal to the medal" with CMC and the other stars.
No need to save any good plays from now on Kyle.
BRING IT, and keep the pressure on the other teams.
This Niner team is really good, and Kyle gets my vote as MVC.

He is an offensive genius, but he should have used the timeouts to have more time to score before the half in Superbowl 54. That pushoff called on Kittle was BS though. There was contact prior to that from the defensive player covering him, so that should have not been called. That that was a BAD call. That changed the entire outcome of the game.
He needs a assistant Head coach that is older and doesn't want to be a head coach....but can help him manage games.....he is so focus on Offensive coordinating and scoring touchdowns

the niners issue for the past 2 years has been the WR's dropping the ball all the time. Kinda hard to run after the catch when you don't hang on to the ball. We need a deep threat as well. Kittle and DS was the only ones that held on to the ball.
Kittle and Samuel were the only ones who held onto the ball? Did you even watch any of SF's games this season?! What about Emmanuel Sanders, or Kendrick Bourne? Bourne had 3 drops on the entire season, two of which came in their first meeting with Seattle. Aside from that, he was as consistent as you could hope for a #3 WR to be. Not to mention the fact that he had some of the most clutch catches on the team trough the latter half of the season..
And the addition of a weapon like Sanders was the key that unlocked the rest of this offense. Not only did his presence open up passing lanes, but it made it so much easier for Shanahan to create mis-matches in his play designs. And then there's the fact that a Receiver's hands don't get much better than Emmanuel Sanders'..
And here we are...
I would think they invest more into their defense because Kyle and JL know "defense wins championships" still holds true.. And because he's good enough to scheme an effective offense with less flashy talent nonetheless

Dealt with more injuries than any other team and it’s not close , 5-3 against Sean mcvay ( who’s had better players btw ) scored more than 3 points in the super bowl despite blowing a 10 point 👏🏻 actually beat the jets in 2020 despite being in fourth place in the division 👏🏻

Cool video, but I disagree with one thing. The Niners didn't put most of their drafts into defense because "Kyle likes the pressure." Most of their assets went into defense because their GM, John Lynch, was building this team the way the World Champion Bucs of of '02 were built. With a crack down, solid steel defense. Lynch knows the importance of a solid defense because he was a member of that '02 team.

I grew up in Saratoga, Ca where Kyle went to Saratoga High School. My old high school sweetheart went to Saratoga High. Benny Pierce was their legendary Football coach. I lived closer to Cupertino, so I didn’t go to Saratoga High. I went to Monta Vista High school in Cupertino. Glad it was that way, because in 1993 we won a Bay Area football CCS championship. We won Buck Shore’s third appearance in the CCS championship game. Monta Vista’s only CCS championship.
