A-, because of his recruiting: that'swhere the success starts. Keep in mind, he's had several assistant coaches poached by bluebloods like Michigan and Bama. But he's still getting players from Chicago, Indy, St. Louis, and branching out to AZ, NM, and the Dakotas. When was the last time a Badgers coach got a wideout away from USC? We have the Hawaiian pipeline going strong, and Madison is now a destination for Texas QBs. Still, he won't have all the dudes to implement his system for another 2 years. Then- look out!

wisconsin has lost a lot of stud o-lineman out of the state the past few seasons
It wasn't until we fired Chryst that I realized what an amazingly awful coach he was. If he was still the coach, we would only win 3 games this season...maybe 4 with a little luck.
Wisconsin has not gotten the best players in WIS since LF took over. PC did very well recruiting WIS players.
2023 no 4 stars WIS got 1 of the top 8.
2024 4 4-stars, WIS got zero.
2025 2 4-stars WIS got zero.
2022 Chryst got 2 of the 5 4-stars.
2021 Chryst got all 3 4-stars & the top 6 kids in the state.
PC did really well recruiting in WIS, LF has not.

He had one mediocre rec cycle.
The team historically recruits outside the top 30, & most seasons is 40-60. In Fact that's the 1st top 30 rec since 2005 & the 3 best rec yrs in the history of the program.
PC actually upped the recruiting rankings. He brought in Graham Mertz maybe the biggest recruit in the history of the program.
What you're saying is 100% incorrect.
With that being said, Fick doesnt care where he gets players from, & is getting more athletic players especially at the skilled positions.
He's doing a good job getting the guys he wants.
btw for WI recruiting I agree border has been ripped away kinda but 2023 he took over a month before signing day nothing can do about that. also for 2024 we got better recruits also one of them we didnt want (Harbour), but for sure 2025 we missed on the recruits
@@Jet-ri8bc Sexton was a bad loss. I can't believe they didn't offer him until he was basically committed to PSU.
