    The Theragun Elite is a part of Therabody's 4th generation of percussive massagers. It is their second tier device, just below the Theragun PRO. It comes with a lot of new features, which integrate some smart technology via it's Bluetooth connectivity. Unfortunately at the time of filming, the app was not yet compatible with the device. Once the app is updated, I will pin a link to a new video featuring the app capabilities in the comments.

    Great video! I'm trying to decide between the Theragun G4 Elite and the G3Pro - there's about an $80 difference between the two (the G4 Pro is outside of my budget unfortunately). This would be my first massage gun and I'm hoping to use it for recovery after running and long bike rides. I'm not sure that I need the extra battery with the G3 Pro but I like that it's adjustable. I did notice with your G3Pro review that it wasn't the easiest to adjust. What are your thoughts on the two models if you had to choose? Maybe get the G4 Elite and use the $80 towards the ProCare program? Thanks in advance :)

      I have the first Gen Hypervolt and the the Elite. Both are good, but range stroke on the HV vs the Elite is akin a percussion massage vs something that just vibrates (Hyper). When HV released this 3-4 years ago, it was a no-brainer to buy it instead of the ultra pricey Theragun. But with the release of the Elite, it brought it down to a price point that competes with the HV but is a little better, IMHO. You wouldn't know by looking at it, but the handle on the Elite vs the HV also makes it much more dynamic in terms of areas you can use it. I say go for the Theragun, no question.

    • @BestMassageTech
      @BestMassageTech  Před 4 lety +2

      The Pulse FX/Kraft will be slightly louder than the Elite, but only by about 5 DB. If you're not too concerned about the app integration, you're getting a fairly comparable device in either of those you've mentioned. Please be aware, Kraftgun has had some extremely lengthy delivery times. Also, on the app, you can certainly use the app by itself with any other massage gun to learn where and how to massage different areas of your body.

      More of an issue when someone is working on someone else and has leverage. The only areas I have personally ever had an issue is with my hip flexors and even then it’s not a common issue with the elite - That’s a high stall force.

      Better and quieter are two different comparisons. In terms of sound, all three are basically equal. Which is "better" I'd put my personal preferences in this order: Elite and Kraftgun very close and Hypervolt just below them. You get an adjustable head with the Kraftgun so it may have a slight edge in personal preference, but strictly comparing specs without any bias the Elite would nudge ahead.

If I were to speculate, my guess is that their focus will be on launching their new compression recovery boots and possibly some other devices. We may get some new colors to their massage gun line but nothing I've caught wind of in terms of 5th gen. I am petite but strong and thinking that the elite would be a little more comfortable for me to work with since it’s a lighter weight item but I’m wondering if being able to change the angle of the head has made a lot of difference for you? Also, wondering if the softer head that is sold with the pro can be purchased for the elite? Thanks for answering if you can

    • @BestMassageTech
      @BestMassageTech  Před 3 lety +2

      SuperDflower I do think the adjustable head is designed pretty explicitly for professionals, however that being said I don’t necessarily thing it’s a make or break factor. I think you are likely correct about going with the lighter elite model. The adjustable angle is useful on yourself but not necessarily as important as someone that is working on another person as you have 360 degrees of access to their body. Yes, you can purchase the Supersoft separately for $30

      Best Massage Tech Hey, thank you so much for your speedy reply and your thoughtful reply. So let me ask you again, if you are wanting to use the unit to do self massage as well as work on others, do you think that the adjustable head/angle makes a big difference? Worded otherwise, have you experimented with working on yourself with both of those units the elite and the pro? What would your feedback be about that? Thanks for your help, these are huge purchases for me at this time given that I have been unable to work due to the shelter in place. I appreciate your input

    • @BestMassageTech
      @BestMassageTech  Před 3 lety +1

      SuperDflower it’s a personal preference so I don’t want to commit myself to one hard and fast answer here but generally speaking I would say no, the adjustable angle does not make a huge difference. Again, it’s going to come down to personal preference - I like the ability to adjust it when using it on myself but I think the majority of the population would not utilize it. There are enough different ways you can hold it based on the triangle design that you would not need the adjustable head to successfully use the elite in both a personal and professional setting.

My practice has been severely impacted by the pandemic, so I have to be really careful about spending. I also was thinking that a little bit lighter weight, would be better for me , less taxing, When I’m using it throughout the day. Would you happen to know if they offer any kind of professional discount at all? If so, I am ready to order one.

Those are the ideas I have without seeing the situation.
