@@GmHomer the looks and how it feels around the corner over the m140i sold me. Paragon cars did a comparison of the two cars and it’s a pretty accurate take.
I’ve had one for 4 years and one of the reasons I bought it was I put down a deposit for the GT4 R/S Cayman now this car was in development at the time and I was first in the queue so to speak , my wife and myself have a buying history with the only dealership on the island . On my way back I passed by the BMW showroom and saw this M2 sat in the showroom in sunburst orange I fell in love and bought it right there and then ! After years of 911 ‘s I was so impressed with this M2 competition . I should have known better though as the salesman called me from Porsche nearly 3 years later informing me that the owner of the Porsche dealership had given away the first two allocations to other customers who it turns out paid 60,000 euros premium to secure the first two cars and they honestly thought I was going to do the same for the third car allocation !!
Tbh I couldn’t care less as I was so happy with my M2 competition and want to order the M2 CS which is being developed but the shape does not endear me like my M2 so I’ll wait until I see a car with less camouflage testing before I commit because 500 bhp and some aero really does it for me and as far as Porsche go I’m disgusted with the way I was treated and it seems Porsche turn a blind eye to this gazumping practice , however .
i daily drive a m2 competition since december last year, man oh man what a car. when i drive to work im between 6.7L and 7.5L fuel consumption. It is the best M in my opinion (drove all the F Series) i will never sell it for a G Series.

These cars are awesome. How they look, how they go, they take your breath away. I was just out cruising in mine earlier and I love it when I see a safe opportunity to move in for the 'kill' and overtake another car. And sometimes the person in the car in front thinks they're going to prevent that from happening and put their foot down - they have no chance. As I rocket past them and dissappear in the distance I look in the rear view mirror and it's like they aren't even moving. They must be left thinking fuck me. I've watched so many videos on this car over the years and not one gets across what this looks like in person, or how it performs. It is unbelievable. And it sounds fantastic. I keep reading reviews about how it doesn't sound good, or it lacks connection on the front wheels, or the start button is hidden by the the steering wheel! FFS what planet are these people on? It is exhilarating. I honestly couldn't think of a car I'd rather have outside of a top spec 911. I drove a naturally aspirated E46 330 Sport Coupe for 10 years and that car was fantastic, then moved on to an M240 and I thought that was pretty amazing, but I knew very well it was no M car. I'm now in a hockenheim silver M2C and it is a totally different car. It looks fantastic - those rear arches are beautiful! And those quads! When I drove around in the 240 and saw an M2C it literally gave me the hump and I knew I just had to have one eventually. The paneling on the Comp makes the 240 look like it hasn't eaten in a month!
And people bang on about how common the M2C is! Seriously? I see 911s all the time yet hardly ever do I see an M2 or an M2C. I see M140s all the time - but even the 2 Series Coupe is pretty rare compared to the 1 Series.
Get yourself in a Comp. Don't bother with the mods - out the box these things are a-maz-ing. I typically drive mine in Sport engine and steering, but personally I think DCT set to D1 is actually better than D2 or D3. It makes the experience feel more natural. Love the round dials with red needles, love the relatively basic interior. We are in uncharted territory with this F87.....last M2 with twin halos, last with round dials, and I hear the next M2 after the current ugly G87 is going to be hybrid. It usually takes 20 years for a car to move into classic car territory (like the E46 M3 did). But with all this electric car shit going on, and the very undesirable G87, I bet it only takes 10 years for this car to move into classic territory when the purists wake up to the fact that nothing else is in the pipeline as far as a quintessential small Coupe BMW M car is concerned. And the icing on the cake is that this is the prettiest of them all.
I just cannot praise this car enough. Get one, you won't be disappointed. And who knows, in 10 years from now it may just be worth more than you paid for it.

Purchased in 2023 for an m140i. Top fun for the money. Great car. All modern stuff but with a lot of vintage feelings and thrills. Faster you drive better she goes

If you already have an og m2 I’d say unless you absolutely love the seats and want the s55 it’s not worth swapping to the competition! The og m2 is still an amazing car and arguably sounds better than the competition
i agree with @POVGOD the s55 is amazing but i think the n55 sounds great and if u tune it a lil u get a lot out of it. Nearly bought a normal m2, i got a mega deal on the competition that’s why i got a comp.

Planning to buy M2 but cant decide between M2C and M2 LCI
I was in the same boat and boat an 2018 m2 lci with executive package and it had mpe exhaust 6spd manual. I drove both this and a 2020 m2c and it was only a 5k difference and I got the 2018. The n55b just sounded soo much better and I ended up getting some m2c front seats and official winglets and seat belts also managed to get the aluminum tower and carbon strut brace. I now make 660whp. I did vrsf catless downpipe, fmic, charge pipe, turbo inlet and outlet, upgraded sparks, stage 2 hpfp/lpfp, pure 750 turbo and amazing tune on flex fuel. Drives like a dream and sounds like it. I just don’t like the s55 sound at all.
