Didn't know there was a sequel. I'm pleasantly surprised. Please, do more of sequels if they exist.
Unfortunately, we don't have a third sequel. It ended on cliffhanger on the second one after the students and Luke discovered the missing men around campus were used as incubation hosts, which the aliens producing an offspring.

I enjoyed this, but I'm kinda irritated by this sequel trope where the victim from the former movie gets convinced by a psychiatrist that everything they experienced was some mental delusion from a tragic event or some shit like that. This was also done in Fright Night sequel.
If I experienced Aliens killing my friends and had a battle where I killed most of them, I don't think anyone would be able to confuse me about that.
It isn't hard.
The human mind while we don't know everything about how it works we do know a lot about how to trick it or how it tricks itself to defend itself.
It is basically because the human mind has multiple parts, it has the main part the figures shit out but it doesn't see or smell or hear or experience touch.
Those are all various parts of the brain telling the main brain about it and the main brain going ok this is what you said as a memory.
Memory is also weird, we ignore about 97% of everything we experience and remember only small bits. When we recall the memory we are recalling other memories along with key points.
An example is a sunny day right after a rainfall.
We will remember the smell of rain and the temperature and maybe the glinting light through the trees, but these are all fake, previous memories of what those look and sound and feel like or a designated smell. The real memories are stuff that can't be replicated like the boy in a blue shirt running after his sister on her bike down the road or the squirrel barking at us.
Our brain remembers "this is what happened" but only memorizes things it has not seen before. Everything else in the memory is fabricated.
It is why different people remember events differently in first hand accounts.
Now traumatic events like aliens killing your friends are easy to twist into you being crazy with a person giving you drugs and asking you to remember things.
You won't be able to recall the events clearly in detail.
They, since they don't believe you, are forcing you to question the reality. They tell you that it is ok your brain is only trying to protect itself, you aren't crazy.
Because you naturally can't recall normal details but you are now hyper focused on your memories you start to question it yourself.
This is why we go through psychological training is Spec Ops to resist torture and brainwashing, because even without drugs a traumatized brain is easy to manipulate if you know how.
And a Dr is going to try and fix your mental illness thinking you are broken, forcing you to invent new memories and question others.
This is why it is a well used trope in movies because it happens all the time in real life.
Doctors treating survivors have to be real careful to treat the patient without erasing the memories that would help investigators.

That's the thing they don't explain where did the alien named alex from the 1st one go, and what happened to the offspring of Luke and Alex this leaves alot to be answered, they explained how luke survived because of being in love with alex causing his body to be heated up enough to survive the mating attempt. This is why they should have a Decoys 3 with all the offspring being half human which are harder to kill think about it the human dna will allow them to live and better adjust to the heat. man I wish they made a part 3.
They also don't explain how Constance survived. We saw her get blown up in the first movie.

Why are 30 something year olds cast as high schoolers so often? Teenagers are real. You can find them everywhere
Because everyone in the movie will go to jail 🤣. You can't use them in scenes involving sexual acts. They maybe teens but they're still underage and in high-school. They have to use adults.......which is still messed up either way because they're portraying sex for underaged teenagers. It shouldn't be allowed at all

They explained how Luke survived the end of the first movie (since he was in love with his girlfriend who was an alien). However, they don't explain how Constance survived. We saw him blow her up in part 1. Did they answer it in the movie and it was just left out of the recap? Or did they never explain it at all? Anyone know?
