$599,000 - 42' Duffy Sedan 1991/2019 Refit For Sale

Mark Zeigler Yacht Sales has given me a unique opportunity by reviewing my first commercial fishing boat for my CZcams channel. This 1991 Duffy 42 Sedan was completely rebuilt in 2019 including new wiring, new running gear, new engines, new interior, new lighting, professionally repainted inside and out, and even has a new USCG registration. The shell is the only component that remains from the original 1991 launch.
Powered by twin Cummins QSB 6.7 CM2250 diesels, these engines produce 419hp each, and have less than 1000 hours on the clock! The owner cruises around 14 knots, but in the right conditions you should hit around 24 knots!!

Thanks Manuel and I agree. I've been on boats that claim to have a refit and feels like it's still an old boat. I can't say that about this one. This one feels like a brand new boat inside and out.

I love the low air draft for doing the loop. As to the interior, she's for sale right next to Huckins yard. They are one of the best in the business for giving this one more of a yacht finish 😉

I get you can fish from it, but there is no live wells, no fish locker. So it's not really great for real fishing like out there offshore fishing. Plus the price is ,inda high considering they took all the fishing stuff out so it isn't really a fishing boat and is just a modified cruiser with limited berthing, That top crew bunk I useless. They would have been better off dropping the bunk 6 inches to provide some foot room. What was the point of putting a bed there?

Sorry, but to coin a phrase from the motor industry, you cant polish a turd but you can put glitter on it..!!
No way thats worth 599k. You could buy a 2021 Moody 41ds for that money.
At most thats a 130k boat.

No offense, but this boat is the perfect example of when 'The Good Idea Fairy' comes to visit a boat owner and they commit to whatever she said. If you want 600k for this, then commit it back to being a fishing yacht, or revamp it amd make it a yacht. That top bunk is useless. Scrap it and put a folding bed there instead. Raise the Master bed up higher so you have a bigger bunk, but smaller headroom. Take the top bunk amd make that locker space and then put the bunk along the wall. Put in a livewell in the back. Put in a macerated kill box, a small fridge and some seating in the back, plus some rocket launchers or other rod holders, amd an ice maker with a sink and 2 more rod holders on the sides so that a grill can be placed there or some rods. This yacht has an identity crisis and right now it's priced too high for ot knowing what it is. If they need help, just call me.
