In just 100-150 years, India's share in the world gdp went from 35% (literally more than one third of the entire world's wealth being controlled by india alone, more than the entire continent of europe) to less than 1% of the world's gdp.
Escobar was the richest person in the world at one point just from his illegal activities…

U forget they was both 2 different time and also 2 different countries you could never do half of what Pablo did if he lived in America
Capone came up with the idea for soup kitchens during the depression or at least was one of the first to do it on a very large scale regularly.
Pablo built towns with houses/apartments, hospitals, soccer fields and tennis courts, as well as a 4 car taxi service that generated millions (laundering of course) Robin Hood of Columbia.

However, the Sinaloa Cartel made more money, had a better reputation at that time and didn't have the entire united states against them. Personally, if we talk about cartels, the Sinaloa Cartel is the biggest of all time, but if we are talking about their leaders (which we do right know), then El Chapo gets outclassed by Pablo. No matter where you go, everyone will know him, and there will never be a bigger criminal than him... probably

al capone had an ego he wouldn't allow that to happen to him, but also you can;t compare somebody living somewhere sooo poor as where pablo came from they will take your life for like nothing now just consider the fact that he can hire anybody in his area who can't find work he could amass an army and there was no rules. He was one of the first to market out there too to really do mass exports of that stuff.
