    Hi, I would like to know more deeper on the work experience about the 12 months fulltime in 18 months. And you said that to be able to be full time it i should working not less thank 30hrs per week. Okay my situation at this moment is i am already working here in canda for 2 and half years with valid work permit and lmia. But I’m kind of worried about my work experience records / paystubs because sometimes I worked less than 30hrs a week specifically winter because my job is outdoor and it’s very dangerous to work outside when the temperature drops to -20 and below. For example in December i had 1 week that I worked only 25 hours is that means that on the month of December was not included on the count? Or what if i had 48 weeks(12months x 4weeks per month ) with more than 30hrs work and is equivalent to 12 months. Is that gonna be considered? Thank you

      As long as you satisfy 12 months in last 18 months.. then should be ok. Its not continuous 12 months in my opinion

    This video is very detailed and informative.
    Thanks for sharing these. I have one question related to education and work permits. If a person has post graduation from Ontario and has an open work permit based on that and now works in Alberta as per IRCC NOC list then do they apply for AOS?

    Hi Manish,
    Excellent review of AOS for those who want to immigrate to Alberta. I was wondering if after applying for AOS, we still need to be employed for how long? Do we quit the job after applying for it? or change our career to another job as not the same NOC job as before?

    • @ManishExplains
      @ManishExplains  Před rokem

      Your job offer or employment contract must be signed by you and your Alberta employer and must offer:
      continuous, paid work
      full-time work, defined as a minimum of 30 hours per week
      employment for 12 months or more
      work in your current occupation
      wages and benefits that meet provincial minimum wage

    Hi do you need to upload your high school documents from outside of Canada, even though you are PGWP holder who schooled in an approved Alberta institution?

    • @ManishExplains
      @ManishExplains  Před 11 měsíci +1

      Short Answer No. Long answer, eligibility says this
      "You must provide a copy of an Educational Credential Assessment (ECA) issued by an organization designated by IRCC for your highest level of education. If your ECA report shows that your credential is not equal to completion of Canadian high school or the foreign educational institution is not recognized, you do not meet the education requirement.
      You do not need to provide an ECA if:
      you have a Canadian degree, diploma or certificate from a recognized Canadian post-secondary, technical college or secondary institution, or
      you have a valid Alberta Qualification Certificate or a trade certificate recognized by Alberta Apprenticeship and Industry Training (AIT)."
      So is high school your highest education? No. So no need to provide an ECA
      DO you have a Canadian degree? Yes. So need to provide an ECA.
      So just provide your highest education related documents and you should be OK

    Hi,
    I have done diploma in bc. I have started working in alberta since last few months. I have PGWP and my work is in same field as my study!
    I have a question regarding work experience. How much work experience do i need? Also, if my program doesn’t had co - op however, work experience was required to pass the course does that count towards my experience? In addition to that, i have that experience with the same employer from alberta, does it make any difference?
    Thanks.

    Your video was very informative. Thank you.
    I have a question for you. It would be really helpful if you can answer.
    My education was based on Ontario. The AOS website under Educational Requirements says "Your credential must be issued by an Alberta Advanced Education publicly funded post-secondary institution." The list only has institutions of Alberta. Meaning I who has had my education in Ontario despite working here am not eligible for AOS. RIght?

    • @ManishExplains

      You are correct.. if you want to gain credit for your PGWP work ex then you need to meet the education institution guidelines.. otherwise no. I did my education in India and was accepted by AAIP..

      “Work experience requirements
      Your ‘current occupation’ is the occupation you are working in at the time your application is submitted.
      Your current occupation must also match your work experience at the time your application is submitted and at the time the AAIP assesses your application.
      Eligible work experience
      At the time your application is submitted you must have either:
      a minimum of 12 months full-time work experience in your current occupation in Alberta within the last 18 months, or
      a minimum of 24 months of full-time work experience in your current occupation in Canada or abroad within the last 30 months or both - this work experience can be a combination of experience gained in Alberta, in Canada (outside Alberta) or abroad.

  • @krishenibannehaka7863

    Hi Manish, currently in Alberta for around a year and received my pgwp now (Graduated from Ontario). But it is going to expire in July and planning to apply for an extension. In that case, if I have 6 months of work experience in Alberta technically i can apply for the AOS? I studied Global Business Management and my current NOC is 62010 (Retail store supervisor). Is this NOC considered the same field of study or not?
    Appreciated your comment

    • @ManishExplains
      @ManishExplains  Před rokem +1

      If you satisfy this then it can be counted..
      “For all applicants, including Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP) holders, work experience in the qualifying period:
      must have been full-time, for a minimum of 30 hours a week
      must be for the same occupation as your current occupation
      must have been authorized by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada and with valid temporary resident status if completed in Alberta or Canada
      cannot have been gained while studying in Canada and doing co-op work placements or internships as part of a study program, unless you are a PGWP holder who completed during paid co-op work terms as a part of your program of study at an Alberta post-secondary institution. To qualify, the work terms must have been:
      paid and full-time (minimum 30 hours per week)
      for work experience directly related to your current occupation, and
      for work experience all gained in Alberta”

I have lived in Alberta for 6 years now and completed my Masters from here in Engineering but currently working as an Account Manager in a Finance Company (tech role) on my PGWP. I will finish my 6 months of experience in March. Then do I become eligible to apply under AOS stream ? Or my job has to also be the same as my post graduate field of study to qualify ? Is that even a criteria or a valid Alberta job offer is enough ?
