    Hello, Thanks for this detailed video. I am currently in Alberta and have Canadian experience of 6 months on a PGWP. I understand that I am eligible for the AOS stream. I am just wondering if I apply for AOS stream now, is it going to hurt my chances to apply for express entry in 6 months as in 6 months i will have one year of experience and will be eligible to apply through express entry. Is it still possible to apply for AOS and Alberta express entry and choose express entry if it came earlier? Also, what would be your recommendation, should i wait 6 more months and be eligible to apply through express entry or apply through AOS now. Like any other I am hoping to get the PR soon. Thank you for your time again!

    Hi Manish, I have applied for AOS after 1 yr experience in Alberta. My job offer was having 2 ys validity but will expire in 7 months. Hopefully waiting for the nomination. Will it be a problm when I submit the PR application with job offer validity less than 1 yr

      According to the Canadian government, a valid job offer for Express Entry only needs to be for 1 year or more 1. However, the job offer must still be in the NOC TEER Category 0, 1, 2 or 3 from one employer for the FSW or CEC, or up to two employers for the FST supported by an LMIA (if you need one) or be for a candidate that is exempt from needing one.
      However, if you are applying under the Alberta Immigrant Nominee Program (AINP), the job offer must be for a place of work that is within the geographic boundaries of Alberta and be a location zoned for commercial purposes 3.
      I hope this information helps! Let me know if you have any other questions.

    Hello sir, I've just got my PGWP after 2 doing 2 year diploma in Montreal, Quebec. The website says for PGWP holders, "Your credential must be issued by an Alberta Advanced Education publicly funded post-secondary institution". Does that mean that I can't apply under Albera Opportunity Stream if I do 1 year job there with an Albertan employer. Pls help. Thanks.

    • @ManishExplains

      Aos is for someone who already has experience in Alberta .. express entry is open to everyone who has a job offer in Canada or works in a job that has demand in Alberta

    Hi Manish,
    In my pgwp remarks, " This does not confer temporary resident status". In this case, my PGWP can consider a valid temporary status in which I gain work experience by using my PGWP? I am a bit confused.

    • @ManishExplains
      @ManishExplains  Před rokem

      Don’t be. AOS guidelines clearly says that
      “Valid work permits are based on one of the following:…
      a Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP) held by a graduate of an Alberta Advanced Education publicly funded post-secondary institution
      PGWP holders must also meet specific occupation, education and work experience requirements as set out below.”
      So why confused?

      You have many options.. if your noc is on the tech pathway list then you can apply under that stream. Or if you are in Alberta then can explore AOS route

      @@ManishExplains can I apply in aos from 3 months of experience in Canada? Or I have to complete 1 year?

    • @ManishExplains
      @ManishExplains  Před rokem

      At the time your application is submitted you must have either:
      a minimum of 12 months full-time work experience in your current occupation in Alberta within the last 18 months, or
      a minimum of 24 months of full-time work experience in your current occupation in Canada or abroad within the last 30 months or both - this work experience can be a combination of experience gained in Alberta, in Canada (outside Alberta) or abroad.
