Just a pointer, Reikland flesh shade is also available in a gloss, I never realised there was 2 variants, much like Nuln oil, the gloss versions are for shading metallics so as to stop them dulling down. For those folk who can't get the Tamiya clear paints, Citadel do a great range of clear varnishes which are really good.
Yea I do have gloss nuln oil too. Nice to use to keep some of the metallic shine. For sure. Didn’t know citadel does transparent paints. Think you can use inks too for the same effect.
@@Groundeffected The Citadel clears are actually varnishes so they're super glossy, that's their only draw back. They're designed for an airbrush too which is great. Great for making a metallic colours not so much for the Matt finish.
@@MadAl37 to be fair the tamiya ones are glossy as well

This is another top quality paint job, man. I'll certainly use these tips when I get around to this model. I'm just waiting to see how the full GOTG diorama will work before I start working on them. I really need to get some of these transparent paints for fire effects soon.

Great video as always bro. Just one thing I think would be beneficial to do differently for those of us learning, would be if you could show us the paint pot with the name showing when you use it. And an affiliate link to it would be awesome too!
Sure I’ll be more conscious of this next time I film. It’s tough to keep up with everything to make the statue and then I forget that I was making a video at the same time lol.
