Finally a father son dynamic in a movie that just felt real. The first time in a while where a father has been portrayed as intelligent and a very capable leader
But the Chief never saved his daughter. Can’t praise one father and forget what another did in the same movie. She was handcuffed at one point also and the tribe was missing in the end. And the chiefs own daughter was with a dead kid. Like come on.
@@cmasterson death is needed sometimes
To me, it feels like James combined a lot of movies into one.
like
1. Atlantis the lost Empire inspiration
2. Tarzan because of Spider
3. Titanic but in battle form
It was an actual ultimate experience and I sure enjoyed it!
No wonder I liked it so much man took inspiration from two of my favorite Disney movies 💀😂
How dare you not say FREE WILLY LMAO
I got Titanic and Terminator 2 Vibes
And subnotica being the game
This film was so unexpectedly brutal!
Everytime someone died, I went 'Man, that must hurt!'
It was aight
When the researcher lost his arm to the cable
My favorite part was when netyri started slaughtering people 😂
@@dantan1249 It was like she forgot that Jake was once a Sky Person
@@jacksonscott690 Second movie always like Star Wars, except the Disney ones....
I mean I don’t blame neytiri for going absolutely insane with how she was killing at the end. She’s lost enough with home tree, her father, and again more of her people dying and finally to lose your first born child has to be one of the most painful things a mother could ever experience. But I agree that I see a beautiful arc developing where she takes all that anger and hatred and she has to learn to accept humans and see the potential that human kind has if only they were guided in the right direction.
Learn to accept humans. Wow. No. No redemption arc for humans. The humans deny the Na’vi their right to a peaceful life and planet and the Na’vi have to accept the humans colonizing their planet? Nope.
It honestly didn’t feel like a 3 hour movie. Every scene was entertaining to watch from start to finish. The storyline may have been basic or plain but the storyline didn’t have to be necessarily amazing. The visual effects were honestly the best I’ve ever seen in a movie. It goes to show to when people in the visual effects have plenty of time to work on a movie that they can create some mind blowing real effects
In all honesty, It could have been longer cause I was so into the entire Sully family dynamic,
Exactly. It’s one of the few movies where it uses it’s time wisely.
Watching this movie made my childhood self want to get up and say HELL YEAH I’m the movie theater I was soo surprised I didn’t have to get up and go use the restroom! This movie was a big W
The 3 hr runtime drags it feels like 4 hrs and 12 minutes as opposed to its 3 hr and 12 minute runtime. The film is boring and uninteresting. I was bored the whole time. The MCU is way better and is cinema compared to this
I remember just sitting in the theater midway through the movie and just thinking how good the graphics were
It hurt my eyes at first then WOW i couldn’t get over it - i saw it in and dolby and regular it’s basically day & night
That’s kinda all the movie had. Visuals. I can get that looking at a wallpaper. This is a movie and needed more for me.
I was genuinely surprised with this movie. As someone who thought the first was just a solid movie overall, Cameron sucker punched me in a good way with this one. I thought it was pretty great overall with its tone in the latter half and I cared more for the characters and the conflict, so much so it heightened the tension and emotion all throughout. And do I have to talk about the VFX lol absolutely gorgeous film, and pretty freaking great overall I give it an easy 8/10 👍
Glad you loved it too bro. I thought the first one was good. But the 2nd was even better. A lil too long tho. But it was worth the price of admission. 8/10
@@user-bt9yh8jn1q agreed IMAX been worth it for everything this year lol, Top Gun, Batman, Jujutsu Kaisen 0, One Piece Film Red, Dragon Ball, even Wakanda Forever and Doctor Strange even if I didn’t like those movies very much
Actually surprised considering his bs testrostone and feminism talk though it would be woke but it didn't proly caus it was on the making since long when this whole culture war wasn't plaguing the industry
i recall, THE BEST MOVIE EVER !!!!!!!!!!!
😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
I agree completely
Honestly what I liked the most about this movie is how none of the characters felt "safe". Like any one of them could have been killed and the threats were pretty real.
i agree so much. there was never someone that i was 100% sure wouldn’t die
I like to imagine that Quaritch will properly learn the ways of the Na’vi in the sequel, but still with the ultimate goal of getting back at Jake. He will join a very distant clan, rise among their ranks (maybe with some backstabbing involved, but I would prefer to him to do it honorably, so his bond with that clan is real). Then he acts as a medium between the humans on Pandora and that clan, arming them with human weapons aswell as the humans with the clans knowledge, which culminates at the biggest fight at the end. They should stray away from the bad guys being just comically evil, and give atleast Quaritch some depth, humbled by the trials of the clan he runs into.
Bro Neytiri was the best part of the movie, when she got pissed she went crazy! Don’t mess with mamma bear!
i remember seeing avatar in theaters and loving it to death, falling in love with cgi and movie making in the process, im so happy that the story is much better and i look farward to the sequels!!!
I believe Kiri and Spider are gonna be very important for the future films
Yeah seems like it, unfortunately I thought they were the weakest characters imo in terms of their acting performance 🤷🏼♂️
@@m_hall Nah wym they were great
Same, they were the most interesting characters! I thought the performances from everyone was great
@@m_hall it might be because we have only seen so little about them on screen. I believe their background and stories will be told in Avatar 3
WE HAVE TO REMEMBER JAMES IS MAKING THESE MOVIES TO SEND A MESSAGE TO PROTECT OUR EARTH! First our forest NOW OUR WATER 💧
First our Earth, then our Water, then our Air, then the soul of our planet and humanity.
Who told you that?
Our plants and trees are what gives us oxygen inside earth!
Mr beast team trees and team seas
Damn it’s all part of a plan lol
What makes neteyma’s death hurt so much is the fact that their one of OWN son died and Zoe Saldana’s acting is just devastating. I cried so hard at the end. I don’t even think a main character’s son or daughter ever dies in a movie.
Man, Cameron was cooking up something fierce with that teasing of a relationship between Kiri and Spider. Kinda wonder if maybe their romance is part of the path to peace between the species.
how did that little boy survive for so long without oxygen resupply?)))
I really hope that kiri and spider don’t get in a relationship. I hated spider
@@CoolGobyFish He was with the humans who stayed on Pandora.
@@fireandbombs12 I know. But he has a mask that's not hooked up to anything))) and it never runs out of air. How does he breath
Let me just say I didn’t think I would have enjoyed the movie soo much that I actually want 2-3 more movies… Job well done
Saw it today, was originally going to go alone but a friend joined me and we both liked the first movie but didn’t love it and expected this film to be the same or worse but I think this may be our film of the year, the runtime wasn’t an issue for me as I felt the pacing was better than the first and the story was much better. The massive action sequence in the third act was insane.
The ending of this movie broke me. Great film from start to finish.
This movie was absolutely amazing! Like you said the story wasn’t that complex but it had everything to make you feel all emotions.
I know you mentioned recreating avatars but i hope it isn’t like that cause then it’ll just feel like a copy and paste and it’ll get boring but i do hope that Jake’s son does have a great character build up and hope to see him hopefully leading a group of his own.
And I know Kiri’s storyline will be absolutely AMAZING
It's hard to picture Na'vi on earth. Although I would be very curious to see how they react to our planet with no forests or green left and just concrete and buildings everywhere they look. And how they would react to an animal like a dog
The most touching scene of Avatar: The Way of Water is the scene where Kiri talks with Grace.
For like, 10 seconds
enjoyed the breakdown and what could possibly happen in next films.
Really excited to see what Kiri gonna become and also initially thought Miles was a a strange character in this movie, but now that you bring up how mistreated he was, can definitely see him being pushed to the other side and coming full circle
The WHALE, I was dying when he said its too painful😂
Since we know quaritch will be the villain through avatar 5 I’d like to see the final movie culminate with him beating sully in hand to hand combat and just before he kills him we see spider kill quaritch. I definitely think they’re setting something up here with the internal family struggle spider has and it would be a cool change of roles where in avatar 1 quaritch was killed by an avatar as a human and now he’d be killed by a human as an avatar.
agreed!!
I'm exactly like you on this. First one didn't click with me. It got way too overhyped and blown out of proportion by the time I got around to seeing it in the theater. With this one, I had no plan to see it right away, but an opportunity came up with a buddy of mine asking, so I tagged along, and ended up being surprised that I actually liked it more. I'm down to see more sequels
It'd be really funny if to save money they make 5 take place entirely on earth and treat it as if it's a world we've never seen. So there's just a 5 minute long scene of a Navi riding a horse as if we've never seen a horse before.
I have loved this franchise since the first one came out, let me tell you I waited 13 years for this and it did not disappoint! Also I loved that powerful scene with Neytiri, I thought it was a great way to show all her sides; we’ve never seen her like that before and it shows how much she cares for her family…”a son for a son” that was wild!
I’m pretty sure I saw a thing that said one of the future movies was called the seed bearer or something like that so what if they have a seed and are trying to get it to earth. It would also be cool because the fire people could play in by trying to stop them from taking the seed to earth. Probably not gonna happen but still fun to theorize.
Taking them to earth. Aiwa can be the means. Neytiri and other Navi links with Aiwa. Aiwa shows them all of Earth through the memory of Jake, Grace, Norm even the Quaritch.
Aiwa understands why the humans have left their "mother" and shows compassion and uses Kiri as a bridge to peace. That is of course after alot of fighting. Kiri is the key.
Can't wait.
I honestly like this movie, but I have some gripes, one: I am confused about how Quaritch came back, two: I felt like jake didn't have much of a standing in his own movie. This movie is a solid 8/10. If someone explained to me how Quaritch came back then it's an instant 9/10.
Edit: I hope Tuk gained some attention in the next movie, I really enjoyed her character. They did Neteyam dirty. Also, anyone else think about Vin Diesel in this movie. He should cameo in the third one and say 'it's all about family Sully, all about family.'
They explain it in the movie. And it's even explained in this video at around 3:50
@@yippykiyay89 I know, but I still can't understand.
it made no sense really. lacked good plot bc how if he died in forest but grace made it to great mother and didnt return? but he did?? they also kept him alive probably to return in 3rd sequel. seems like the same thing all over again.
@@Alyzabeth Grace literally had her brain connected to Eywa when she was at the tree of souls, as seen when those fibers reached around and formed a structure where her cerebellum was located.
Quaritch is essentially a permanent Avatar. He is operating a body tailor made for him without needing the neurolink
Also this isn't Jake's movie, that was the last film. This movie is about his kids primarily and the growth they go through through all the challenges and struggles they face
I feel like Cameron wants to juxtapose two types of immortality. The artificial ones from the humans versus the shared passed down memories of the Navi. I could see an Avatar 5 involving a seemingly immortal Colonel vs a reincarnated (through shared memories) Jake.
The rumor for Avatar 5 Na'vi will visit earth with some kind of plant that fix earth problem.
Yep, the whale brain juice introduces the plot element of humans trying to live longer with their current bodies, while the Navi live within Eywas collective planetary network. Ones achieve it artificially, the other naturally. On top of that Quaritch Avatar trying to figure out his existence along with Kiri (possible Avatar of Eywa). Along all that we have the Sully kids figuring out their place in all of this, as children of both Earth and Pandora.
I was into the first movie so I'm pretty excited to see this movie now! Great breakdown I enjoy watching your content man keep it up!
Love the enthusiasm and all in nature of your speculation. Keep up the good work
I wouldn’t want Spider to become evil. I feel like the ending showed he’s pledging his loyalties to the Sully’s. Though he hates Quaritch, that man is still his father and so I feel like they’ll have an interesting dynamic. In the next movie, I can see Spider redeeming his father.
Im thinking we get a cloned hit squad of just Quaritch in the next movies and they are suped up to replace the Avatar Quaritch we see in A2 since he pretty much failed his mission and lost resources in the process. Hes then ex-communicated and he has to go on a spirit journey to find his place amongst the world of Pandora now since he has no mission to complete.
Kiri will be the kwisatz haderach of the Avatar universe. She can speak with and communicate with the spirit of Pandora. i think it will be a "Solaris situation". Kiri and Spider will become a thing.
and im hoping Lo'ak grows into his role, id love to see him take over for Jake as leader of the Sully clan and i want to see him saddled up with Piacon leading his tribes.
Visually stunning at times. I give the production team props for pushing the envelope.
As a FILM Avatar 2 is nothing special. The plot is basically the same as the 1st movie. The run time is an hour longer than it needs to be, just so they can show pretty pictures, not to move the plot forward. The HFR makes the 3d better, but also makes some of the film look like a HQ PlayStation game.
To sum it up Avatar 2 is a mixture of an average movie and a movie you would see at an aquarium / zoo in 3D.
This will be the last time I see a movie in 3D. IMO it pulls me out of the story, half the scenes are blurry, action looks fake.
3/5 ⭐️
I just saw it today I was left speechless
I can't wait for avatar 3, 4, 5
I love your channel so much and I love your intro keep the comedy up
but its a really good movie watched it yesterday and made me cry 3 times and had me wanting more and the end battle was so damn good in every way the visual effects were just perfect 100000000000/10 best movie seems like its gonna be in the top 5 of highest growsing films
Best movie I seen in years. The way he filmed it and the camera technology was amazing. A definitely must see in theaters in 3D.
3D is not a thing anymore.
@@Aribbonofsoundmen this movie in particular was filmed and directed to be watched in 3D. I agree most movies I don’t watch in 3D even when it’s an option but I think you would be selling yourself short if you didn’t watch this in 3D. A high grade 3D system though. Not standard with low quality projectors. I saw in Dolby Cinema 3D. I personally prefer that over IMAX 3D.
it looked exactly the sdame as the first one.
(you can check out my review on my channel aswell.)
@@beautyneytiri 15 years ago or the recent theater rerelease? If you’re referring to its original theater release, it definitely doesn’t look the same. The projectors alone have came a long way from 2009. IMO
AND MAN !
The seed-earth theory is crazy ! Even the third movie should be called the seed bearer, could be Kerri !
Like she’s the one that got eywa’s power to grow life out of nothing (or without male exactly)
And the power to do it could grow over the movies until 5 until it’s big enough for planets/humans
Would be CRAZY !
Cheers🎉
Wow im literally in the movie theater right now
Honestly if Chris was not a news CZcamsr. He would be a guy who made meme vids. Just look at some of his intro.
Love it. Allready looking forward to part 3.
Everyone criticizing and eating the movie but none is talking about the message given in the movie.
My only complaint is it was too long and I got bored for a moment but overall this was an amazing movie!
Neytiri is so Beautiful fr.
Inhumanly pretty!
Awesome video 3c films
Love the points you’ve made about Miles
I watched this movie today an It was a masterpiece
I think Quaritch will have another clone back on earth weather its human or Na’vi
I found it alright I just didn’t enjoy the Jolty dialogue
That’s like the one thing that bothered me the most but to me it was just a con on a pile of pros
I didn't like the dialogue either
miles feels like hes gonna do a maze runner scorch trails terese aint even gonna lie in my opinion
Movie was amazing. Neytiri was great when she got screen time but they really turned her into Catelyn Stark😂
Great vid bro
I’m hoping in the future movies we see more of the planet. We have seen Forrest people and water people…how about a desert people or end a snow people? Would the avatar planet have different geographical like earth? I can see the s ow people having more hair and wearing animals skins and a new batch of animals that are equipped to live in a cold climate.
This is a great review and I'm excited to see avatar the way of water and the other avatar movies will be fantastic!
Love ur videos 😎👍👌
We have had screen X in the UK for some years now I saw no way home in screen X and it was awesome
I liked the first avatar but absolutely loved way of water
I was shocked at how much I liked this movie... it was a very refreshing watch in 2022
Yes I have been waiting for this
Three weeks laters I think we can bet surely on the 5 titles, except number 3 should be really-really aweful, which I can’t quiet even believe 😅😂
i watched this in 3d at an IMAX theater and this is easily in my top 3 movies ever
I’m SOOO excited where this franchise is gonna take us!
seriously ?
it was not at all what i expected.
(you can check out my review on my channel aswell.)
I’m gonna see it for the second time already in 2 days and yet again, I’m very excited
I think it’s going to be like Star Wars but in the sense we start from the very beginning and see the entire story in chronological order instead of back and forth like Star Wars.
It’s interesting that the Sally Family doesn’t know That Spider betrayed them yet by saving Quirtich.
Which will definitely come in to play in the third film, spider will probably start to be more excepted among everyone outside the sully family until he fills guilty and brings up the fact he saved Quirtich or tell Kiri due to their bond
I've seen both and loved both but I've cried so much in the second and was not disappointed the visual as stunning as the first !!! I greatly recommended it for the whole family....and can't wait for the final journey out of 5 star's I give it it 4 stars
I honestly like this movie more than the first! Loved the family dynamic of this movie and seeing Jake as a dad
seriously ?
to me ity felt exactly tyhe same as the first movie, but less impressive.
(you can check out my review on my channel aswell.)
Jake´s actor is also a father, so some of this is from experience.
Just got back from the theatre…the hype is real Waow whata a great film long but entertaining. An acid trip for sure but the best kind.
I loved the first movie growing up but this sequel was absolutely amazing and such an upgrade
I loved this movie so much not just because of the film it's just around tons of people watching this incredible film this what history feels like
It was pretty funny that neytiri doesnt even apologise after threatening spider XD
Where I'm from we have raggady ass theatres, so I know a Cinemark won't be coming here. Maybe in Danville VA or Greensboro NC, because I would love to try out one of those 3 screen movies.
I saw it 5 days ago. SO good.
I did a whole story on avatar 1 and 2 soon as I got done watching it can't wait for the next one
My family and I, including our 3 boys, loved the movie. We all saw it tonight and think it's way better than the 1st Avatar movie. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Great review. I loved the movie! Still liked the first one a little bit more. I really wanted to see the big shark thing get ridden. I missed the thantor and the great leonopteryx. Still I give the movie 8.5 out of 10.
Best film of 2022 a masterpiece
Avatar BETTER make it to the 5th movie and I want Jake and Neytiri to survive till the end
I knew Miles was going to turn bad because, at some point when one of the Avatar kids walked into the room, he went and sit on the railings to appear taller in the scene
Miles is did not turn bad, he is just conflicted with his existence as a human but culturally a Navi, all while dealing with a clone of his father in a Navi body.
He's not bad all of the characters in Avatar are just complex there's no black and white
I already watched it 5 times and got tickets for tomorrow now that i watched this chris
I think spider will sooner or later get his own avatar body, big reach here but I think he will indeed have a battle of the death with his father
no i agree i could definitely see thus
Yeah man this is a interesting Sci-Fi world and I can’t wait for the next ones
Neytiri: "They're like animals, and I slaughtered them like animals. I HATE THEM."
I saw avatar the way of water on premier night
You should do a movie review of Spirited.
There's a rumour the third movie is subtitled 'the seed bearer' which fits into your theory about saving earth
I’m super excited to see the 5th one ESPECIALLY from that title
The Critical Drinker and Nerdrotic's group of people did criticize this a lot but to me it's a good movie to watch with family and friends. There is some flaws on some scenes specifically the villain forgetting that he has hostages but it's still a good watch.
If you compare it to other movies for sure your rating will go down a bit but if you watch it for just the movie it self to me it's a good movie. The 3hr 12min run time is also not an issue for me. In my opinion it has good pacing.
It has great visuals when it comes to the world building, them learning skills to adapt to there new home, thrilling scenes, chases and action scenes.
What I agree with The Critical Drinker and Nerdrotic's group is that the dialogue is not good. I feel like the dialogue is written by people who is not even in the movie business. Those dialogue sounds like something you can hear in OG Resident Evil game. The dialogue quality goes up a tiny bit but that's as good as it gets. Still a great movie to watch despite that because it's carried by the visuals.
I really enjoyed this film, but I do have a few problems with it. It kinda lost me in the half an hour leading up to the final battle, the tone just completely switched up. The whole australian whale hunter thing felt like it belonged in a fucking Jumanji film, and the spider stuff started to get annoying at this point as well. I also thought the film was too long, but thats not a big problem cause it made the whole film feel like an extended edition or something. The final hour or so of this film was top tier though, absolutely loved it. Overall its probably an 8/10
I wanna see what future earth is like in Avatar 5
Honestly just finished this and i really, really liked a lot of this.
I loved it. Great movie.
It truly was. Glad you loved it C bro 👍👍👍
Sully said “spider is a strong kid”
Man, screw the haters! This new film is the GOAT film!!!!!
Can’t wait to watch it!!
Next one is playing at Little House: A New Beginning
