- '2019 미스코리아' 선발대회가 11일 저녁 서울 동대문구 회기동 경희대학교에서 열렸다.
이날 '2019 미스코리아' 선발대회 '진' 김세연 '선' 우희준·이하늬 '미' 이다현·이혜주·신윤아·신혜지가 당선되었다.
2019 미스코리아 선발대회 MC로는 김경식, 김환, 홍어나 실이 낙점됐다. 특히 홍어나 실은 2016년 미스코리아 '미' 출신으로 직접 후배 미스코리아 선발 과정을 중계해 의미가 남다르다.
1957년 5월 첫 대회가 열린 후, 지금까지 매년 빠짐없이 개최된 미스코리아 선발대회는 2019 년, 제63회 대회를 맞이했다. 대회를 통해 선발되는 당선자 '미스코리아'는 지성과 품격, 재능 등 다양한 매력으로 국내•외 엔터테인먼트와 뷰티 산업 분야를 선도하는 대한민국 대표 미인으로 활동하게 된다.

The funny thing is that in Korea the most beautiful girls just go for an acting career. Honestly in Korea nobody cares for the beauty contests. Even most of the candidates just want to get some fame and debut as an actor.
These pageants are really not a big deal anymore so that’s why they aren’t that trained. Most people just to compete to get a little fame before they debut or just to make some money

Koreans are cute however when it comes to international pageants, what they're looking for is either thick, curvy or athletic build and is definitely tanned as it depicts healthiness. Miss Korea is pretty however she needs more training when it comes to catwalk and communication skills and she needs to have more confidence as it's one of the biggest factor if you wanna have that so-called audience impact.
