A tool-assisted speedrun (TAS) is a playthrough composed of precise inputs recorded with tools such as video game emulators. Tool-assisted speedruns are generally created with the goal of creating theoretically perfect playthroughs. This includes but is not limited to the fastest possible route to complete a game and/or showcasing new ways to optimize existing world records. During development of a TAS, its creator (i.e. TASer) has full control over the game's framerate, which when brought down to a still allows frame-by-frame movement to record a sequence of fully precise inputs. Other tools they are equipped with include savestates and branches, rewriting recorded inputs, splicing together best sequences, as well as macros and scripts to perform automated actions. These tools give TAS creators the ability to perform with precision and accuracy beyond what a human player can do.

Nicely done, dude. I love this TAS of this terrible, yet somehow, good game.
Isak Hermansson having not played this game, but the first 2 gba crashes and seeing your comment, i was wondering how this one could be bad when the others were pretty good.
I understand now.
What I find interesting about this game is that they used the Crash Nitro Kart model for the animations that weren't in The Huge Adventure or N-Tranced, while the animations that were in those games were copied from those games, so Crash constantly switches between his Huge Adventure model and his Nitro Kart model.
the "low poly" nitro kart model was just the crash 2 model with the default face. The CNK model itself was likely based off of that without the artists taking into consideration just how much the model actually contorts its own proportions for animation
nice to see this dude
awesome work
I had both games spyro and crash and gosh they were so bad (yet amazing for the 5-6 years old me) I just remembered about them after those decades. Amazing nostalgia. Grats on that tas
Chopper Stopper is the bane of my existence
Nice TAS!
Were Crash and Spyro... throwing molotovs at each other?!
Yes, that is indeed how the first bossfight goes. If you want to know what Vicarious Visions was thinking here, you have to ask them yourself I guess...
I played this this year, at 24 years of age, actually had a lot of fun
Playing it now at 30 😅

23:00 hacker!
Yeah they forgot to program the collision at that exact point. Great game
How did you get all the cards Or how do you now if you get all from this shop?
I assume you ask this because in the video, the box "You win! [name] card" which usually pops up after getting a card is being skipped before the text appears--so as a viewer one can't know what card I precisely got at which point.
However when making the TAS, in the first pass of for example spinning a wheel I let the animationplay out to see what card I got. If it was a card I still needed I went to a previous frame and now made an 'A' input to skip the textbox, this is what you see in the video.
How do I open a Wumpa Jump bonus? When you need to collect 125 cards there, and you only have 120 cards. Tell me, please?
With a single cartridge one can only obtain 120 cards: 99 out of the 100 Crash cards and 21 of the Spyro cards. Any more cards have to be traded over from Spyro Fusion by linking two cartridges
@@toca_speedruns You know what could've been better with the last 5? When you perfected each world, you get another card.
I know this comment is way late but how are you killing those enemies by just running into them? Also, are you using a trick cause if not, you've got some finger speed!
If I remember correctly this is done by pressing the jump button on the frame Crash collides with the enemy's hitbox; for some reason the game counts this interaction as jumping onto & killing them.
R.i.p sheeps :v
Animal cruelty
53:58 the game was crashed
Pause on 54:08, where's the 2nd to last red card?
The missing card is the Polar card which you get by linking your game with another copy of Crash Fusion, so it can't be obtained with a single cartridge.
Cool
I dont think aku aku
