- To play them on the Steam version, just set either of these as launch options for the game (no modding required):
--overridemap whiterooms/wr_c2_levelendtest/wr_c2_levelendtest
--overridemap whiterooms/wr_c3_levelendtest/wr_c3_levelendtest
--overridemap whiterooms/wr_crates/crash_crates/crash_crates
(launch options are set by right clicking the game in your library, then Properties, then Set Launch Options)
They also exist on the PS4 version of the game. - Hry
At least they weren't wrong with one of the rooms being titled "Crates."
Now they need to create something like "Mario Maker", but for Crash Bandicoot. Make your own impossible levels, lol.
Thats what I was thinking and I think it would be awesome, but at the same time I know its not gonna happen :/

Game seems to be based off of Skylanders SuperChargers, would be kind of interesting to get stuff from that game working in this one! After all they're both on Alchemy.

just tested this myself, tried getting the coloured gems but the only thing it does is increase you save completion %.
none of the gems u pick up will carry over to the real game.

All we need is a level editor, terrain control, and model imports to have custom levels with this engine.
Is worth mentioning that the camera works weird for an open world, it doesn't fully follows crash as much to the sides because most levels are straight forward or have fixed angles to give the idea it's far away, so In the actual game it doesnt look this close

This is legitimately interesting. It’s fascinating to see that all colour gems have equal lighting, I always assumed that the red and purple had deeper shades.

Patch means either they improve the game or fix bugs, glitches crashes or remove stuff you're not supposed to see.
Back up the .pak files in the archives folder and you'll be all good.

What I wish that activision would at least make the invincibility keep the chain going when u hit another aku aku crate or give u power ups in the first and 2nd one I get they had the crash dash in two but couldn't hurt to add more

I wonder if you can seriously corrupt memory values if you keep collecting keys and gems that way.
The gems in front of the hologram box counter at 2:15 are presumably their renders for the Warp Room in Crash 2 and HUD of the levels in Crash 3, but the Orange Gem is not in Crash 2 or 3. Nice nugget of unused content. Hope they bring Orange back if they make a new game.

That'd be sweet, I'd love to see more of the level types that didn't get quite as many levels (e.g. a third Ruins level in 2, a third Underwater level in 3 etc.)
I had a really good concept for a ruins level called Rock Bottom. To get the orange gem, you complete the level without activating the nitro switch.
Shesez had a really good video explaining out of bounds. Essentially the bonus & death route are done in different parts of the level, so splicing a level could work.
I'm interested to see how colour gems's lighting react in other levels, like Future and especially Sunset Jetski.
Hm, I had an idea for the third Underwater level being a darkness type level (because of deep ocean), but with an angler fish to light the way instead of a firefly. Called it 'Abyssal Pain' (abyssal plain pun).
Also the idea of a completely remixed game as DLC is very appealing. Like, with the same level themes, but different levels distributed differently through the game and with different layouts, special paths and gem distribution and so on. Doubt we'll see it made officially though.
FruityTangerine 17 Once had a similar concept for a level called Ocean Odyssey, but it would also use Crash Twoc Submarine (with refined hit boxes)
While I was accessing this level the name "C2 Level End Test" doesn't appear, and when i finished the level the gems are not counting...

You know, the ones you unlock through collecting all 3 Tawna, N. Brio and Cortex tokens. They became active at 5:24.
They don't go anywhere, just softlocks.
Hey mate, are you aware of the hidden test objects area behind Pinstripe's boss fight room?
Think you could try and load Crash into the area and do some exploring? Show off some of the items and what they do, if anything.
Open world crash game would be cool, a bit like twinsanity.
An open world crash game would be pretty cool, just let us angle the camera in a similar way to Zelda bots and it’d be perfect!

I’m hoping in the next update they make it so the permanent power ups you got from the bosses from crash 3 can be used in crash 2 and crash 1, BUT they also put in secret bonuses so it also justifies having those mechanics crossing over to.
Everything is possible with modding.
